recommendation n networking has become a way of life all over the world....it is something one has to accept

Yes, Adarsh has accepted bribes before SS helping hand but to me they will link the two and prove the point on how SS influence has led their son astray....

One should ask the same question to the CVs and stars and their real responses will be very different to that they portray or write for on screen....😆

Conscience is blurred when there is a need for ego to be satisfied, one prodded by desperation, greed, false prestige or any one of those feelings/needs that pushes the consciences into the foggy depth of the mind.

and also conditioning and the constant change of views's ...earlier it was considered important to live a principled life ...in a joint family , with a clear marked obligation of being a dutiful child, but nowadays we are taught that winning is the ultimate ..Status is the goal ...Money is the means ..in such a scenario ..Blurred conscience is quite common..

Tanthswa..Agreed ... Its hard to get ahead within a system and make it big without throwing the morals out the window every now and then... My comment was more tongue in cheek about the successful and rich claiming the high moral ground.

Can Idealism be defined to it's purest and absolute form ....and can a Mortal live under its uncompromising will ..we have seen the idealism driven P and Sax failing this stern test & they are fictional's who could be made to live to this exacting standards ...we are flesh and blood humans ..can we withstand temptation..

Very few can perhaps... For the most of us we strive to strike a balance between being practical and righteous.

It is always about morality. We learn how to perform our actions with empathy from childhood..
But you are asking it from the pov of keeping the family intact.. It depends on my relationship with the family.. Adarsh had a great bond with his family and was a quintessential good son. 😃
Of course he was frustrated with impecunious condition of the household and acted on SS's offer without giving it any thought or consulting his parents. I don't know if the Saxes have a problem with SS's help or are truly concerned about the person who did not get the promotion but deserved it due to his/her merit and had even worse financial situation at home.
What we know from MKAP and Adarsh's behavior is that he acts extremely offensive and defends his decision in a passive aggressive manner by becoming Komal's and SS's puppet.
He seems rather uncomfortable with his decision because he cannot defend it by reasoning it with his own conscience.

All I can say is I won't take a life changing decision that makes me most uncomfortable unless my life is in danger.

In fact I am talking about a Human who has greed and conscience .. what would happen then ?? That is my question ..... Human? so u mean to say that all those people who toil and rise above their status with simple hard work, who fought and is fighting the inner demons and succeeded/succeeding in life r not humans.......the question is what kind of human u r? if u r someone who wants only wealth and nothing else u can go for it, but if u r a human who would not want any luxuries which u don't deserve or u deserve but won't get through right means but is ready to give it up , he can go for such a life...........

i was saying about the personal choices in accordance with what is right and what is wrong , what is dharma and what is adharma.............and in a world where there r two sides even if some one kills their own mother , it all depends on the mentality of the person

Yeah but we all know what a failure this portrayal is,or at least of the alleged allegiances of both factions to realism and idealism respectively......

In todays episode we saw a harsh and unflattering but truthful statement of the way of life in the present society..we also heard that arguments for idealism ...My query is " Do You Think it is wrong to accept recommendation or agree to use the influence of a big shot [ be it for a job, for a seat in a prestigious college/school or a distinguished post] .

Depends

.If yes !! Why do you think so ..Do You think that Honest people can get the breaks that is easily available to the other group

If NO ..Do you Think then that Idealism can only be preached but can never be practiced to the T Yes

What is your Opinion..A sincere and Honest opinion is welcome...

First off, I dont believe in idealism because man is imperfect by design.
What's OK for gods, deities and other heavenly bodies is not necessarily good or indeed achievable for mere mortals.
Ideals are forever out of your reach, no matter how hard you try your goal is always somehow eluding you....
achievables are goals that are real, practical and possible and the reaching of which doesnt necessarily infer you cant set yourself other achievables. Bit by bit, step at a time....
That's idealism out of the window for me....
The next problem I have is the issue of sifaarish which to my limited understanding is a "reference"
Nothing wrong with the principle of submitting a reference - in the Western world, you cant get a decent job without one - no matter how much they like you in the interview...
IMO the offending principle here is not sifaarish, but nepotism, and bribery, thelatter two of which must also be treated seperately and indeed are, as bribery can amount to criminal conduct but nepotism is not.
Waiting to be be hacked to pieces (and looking forward to it) I'll zip up at this point simply by saying No Problemo with taking a Reference even from an egotistical, mysogenitic nepotistic old coot like SS!
