Hi Frns,

This is not an update ...so there will be no orderly progression of sequence ... I am sharing my views on a few scenes that have stayed with me after watching today's show...

Today there was a mention of an educated woman who was already married into the house once eons ago ...she was married to SS's elder brother ..and like Pratigya, she too set about changing the rigid and bigoted views of the thakur's Household...and for her trouble, she was burnt to death and all the traces regarding her life was made to disappear ....Similar fate awaits Pratigya too......This obviously happened long before Amma's arrival , her expression reveals that she is hearing it for the first time...If such a Tragic event occurred ....then

Where is the elder Bro ??...is he dead or serving prison term ??

Is this the reason for G.Dadi's silence ? and also her unwarranted affection on Pratigya [I haven't seen her outpouring of affection vis Kesar ]

Did that Character have any kith or Kin..could it be Aman Mathur ...??Has Aman Mathur come for revenge or to teach them a lesson ??

In Bedroom. Krishna is still shocked,in pain and tears of betrayal are rolling down uncontrolled, unchecked ..Pratigya has calmed down but is acutely distressed seeing him in torment ....he is like a puppet ...like a lifeless ragged Doll ...

Pratigya finally starts her Sachai session...and she starts from the moment of her kidnap and tells him the reason for agreeing to marry him [The Tattoo] ....and she did not tell him earlier bec she assumed that he would know since he was the one who kidnapped her ...it was only later that she came to know the truth ..and she admits that she was wrong in hiding the truth from him ..but Trust her ! she still is pure .....Krishna just asks a simple Q ..If she was Pure ...then what was the need for Guruji to pay 5 lacs ??....[I knew that there was a reason for that Seth to pick up a fight with Krishnwa ...Now Krishna has turned PP ] ...and Pratigya starts .."Woh Papa"...and Hesitates ...A sincere recommendation , Mrs. Singh ...when u have decided to acquaint Mr.Singh with the truth...then Go the whole untrodden way and tell him...he is hurt beyond endurance..and breathing by sheer will power ..so any more revelation will not kill him...and even if it does...it will probably be welcomed by him !!..Any way she once again reiterates that "Nothing happened that night "...Krishna just asks her "How do you expect me to believe that a creep, a loafer kept u in a room and did not even touch u ?" ..and this silences Pratigya !!

After a while the scene switches back to Pratigya again ... we see that they are still in same position and have dozed off in exhaustion ..Pratigya wakes, sees that Krishna is tired and exhausted and on the verge of collapse ..[There is a role reversal here..Now it is Pratigya who becomes the pillar for Krishna to lean on...Highlights that women are indestructible and have boundless strength and a limitless endurance..she is the kshamaya dharithri...you kill her maim her, hurt her, anger her..yet when u need her...she will be there silently holding out her hand in compassion, in sympathy ,in support and out of love ]..and Pratigya too despite all the humiliation piled on her ..all the mistrust of her Husband [ A husband whom she has began to cherish], his rejection of her ..she still puts off her grief and pain and turns nurturer , a carer ,A mother ..she slowly lifts him..[Nice one By the Cv's ..He will stand again..shoulder to shoulder supporting him will be his better Half ...She will infuse him, invigorate him, turn him into a new leaf, Turn him into a strong Man...he will draw his strength from her ..and she will give ..uncomplainingly and lovingly ]..makes him lie on the bed and covers him with quilt ..gently she pats and runs her hand thru his forehead ...but he moves it away and requests her to leave him alone ...[Time has not come for physical touch but time will come , time will come ] ...Pratigya is saddened .....and slowly walks away from him ....

But as I am always saying It is always Darkest before Dawn ...And Dawn is breaking !!😊 ..

This also was my fav Scene of the day !!

Hey Tanthya!
Wonderful TOPIC!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lolzzz... Its been a long time since I could comment in ur topic without disagreeing with every second line!!!😆😆😆
The BEST scene for me was - WHEN Pratigya holds Krishna's face and asks him to look at her ie. listen to her and believe her for once!!!😭
LOVED Pooja's acting today!👏👏👏
"But as I am always saying It is always Darkest before Dawn ...And Dawn is breaking !!" - LOVED this statement of urs!!! Yeah! Its the darkness before the dawn and it will go away sooner or later - leaving KriYa bond stronger than ever - or so I hope/dream! 😍😆

Dreamygal...I was responding to your saying that he asked her not to worry about it....As to how you want to interpret the scene is entirely upto you....😊, but as per my understanding, at the end of the day..he is no different than his family...if we are supporting him, then we should be prepared to support his family also in what they did(or planning to do) to Prat...Can't be having double standards about it...

It does bother me that the guy who claims to be so much in love with her absolutely doesn't care for the fact that she married him on the grounds of helplessness and revenge....and on the top of it, he seems to have completely forgotten that that she went through such a trauma...He is behaving like as if she purposefully got kidnapped and then asked Angad to rape her or something....

Oh I stopped watching because the show went a bit haywire with Prat stupidly taking all the crap quietly(when she was supposed to be the epitome of strength...) and Krishna(and family) going on and on serving it to her....add to that the loud Thakurs and weepy Saxenas....DEADLY combination, I tell you...😳

Hey Athena!🤗 Welcome Back!!! Missed u and ur comment-WA!!!😆 I agree with all of ur and Binny's (Hi!🤗) comments!!!
Hey Dreamygal!
U know, after reading ur comments - even though I dont sympathize with Krishna and I was hoping against all hopes that he would react differently - I did come to realize that the way Krishna reacted was totally EXPECTED from his character!!! And I agree with u when u said something like it wont go along with the character of Krishna IF he actually believed in Pratigya right away!!!
However, he did do certain things before as well that would not fit his character - e.g. Krishna chose to marry Pratigya instead of having fun with her; then, he chose NOT to R*** Pratigya; he also chose to support her and NOT change her name against his family's wishes; he chose to leave his house when Pratigya was not allowed in the Zoo!!!
See, what I think is - ALL these exceptional choices made by Krishna did NOT fit his character coz he IS a goon and an illiterate and uncivilized Thakur... BUT, these exceptional choices that he made is exactly WHAT makes him DIFFERENT from his father and brother!!!
So, I was hoping that he would make another exceptional choice which would make us start admiring him!!! Lolzzz... I guess I was being a bit despo to like Krishna again!!!😆
I am sure Krishna is gonna come to that exceptional choice - one day or another! I just hope its not too late!!! I mean, he sort of realizes his bad a little too late!😆 And with the Creatures of the ZOO being all thirsty for Pratigya's blood, I hope Pratigya does not have to risk her life to snap Krishna out of his zombie-mode!!!😆

And hat is just one example. if we are supporting him, then we should be prepared to support his family also in what they did(or planning to do) to Prat...Can't be having double standards about it. It's up to you if u want to lump them in all together but I hope I'm more discerning when I say Krishna is different from his family...nor was he planning to burn her alive...he has to die first before they could harm Pratigya - he had said that enought times.Smile

I don't recall him saying 'you got yourself kidnapped'....oh wait I see, this is self interpretation.Smile....Their convo isn't over, it's just beginning ...just wait and see he will understand her pain, just as she is just now realising the depth of his.

As for the Thakurs, loud indeed and perhaps a bit stuttered comedy, hmm?Smile

He was in love and wanted to win his ladylove over so he did all that, sometimes going against what he was taught....this is called character development....so no rape...no fun while chasing her(she is for marrying - shows his character here, more than a gunda).
See, what I think is - ALL these exceptional choices made by Krishna did NOT fit his character coz he IS a goon and an illiterate and uncivilized Thakur... BUT, these exceptional choices that he made is exactly WHAT makes him DIFFERENT from his father and brother!!! It does fit in with his character....we were shown from day one he is a leader (that first scene of his) he is strong and fearless (when he made a decision for those two men fighting over the girl), then he saw pratigya and decided she was his soulmate....all hinted to him being more than an ordinary gunda....then he is after her, we are shown his singleminded purposeness and tenacity...again shown different after marriage, this time to win her love and win her over. Yes it also highlighted the difference between his brother, father and him. We and Pratigya had to see that.
So, I was hoping that he would make another exceptional choice which would make us start admiring him!!! Lolzzz... I guess I was being a bit despo to like Krishna again!!!😆....oh dear, limits, no need to call yourselve a despot..!!😆😆...ok serious now...he is exceptional - any other guy would have kicked her out for shaming his family and himself like that (the extreme reaction shown by thr Thakurs) but he stood there and still claimed her as his wife even knowing the reaction he will face and sure enough his dad started swearing at him - imagine how you would feel if you parent swore at you in front of your partner and FIL??...not very nice but he withstood that for and not for the first time as well.
I am sure Krishna is gonna come to that exceptional choice - Yes he will, give him time to process and sort his emotions out....one day or another! I just hope its not too late!!! I mean, he sort of realizes his bad a little too late!😆 And with the Creatures of the ZOO being all thirsty for Pratigya's blood, I hope Pratigya does not have to risk her life to snap Krishna out of his zombie-mode!!!😆 never fear, as long as Krishna is around Prat would not fall floul of the Zoo!!😊

Limitwa.....*squishy hug*...MISSING our discussions biig time..but this is the sacrifice I have to make to be able to keep up with my crazy schedule right now....:(....But I see that you, Shruti,Mridhula and a few others are holding the forte quite well....I read your post about it being scary to be a woman and isn't that true??Damned if you do, damned if you don't..ab Pratigya kare bhi toh kya kare....poor girl...

Dreamygal....it was nice interacting with you...Like I said, I jumped in reading about what you wrote about him asking her not to worry and your admission that you don't understand hindi that well...I thought all your assumptions were based on his asking her not to worry....because you even mentioned that he doesn't even doubt her for that matter and is only worried that she doesn't love him..(meaning he didn';t worry that much about her viriginity...)...As about Krishna, lets agree to disagree....😃

Oh and about the Thakurs...I find them more disgusting than comical...I try to look the other way when SS does his little eye brow thingy and the very sight of Shakti makes me want to puke...Komal is the most hypocritical person on the show next only to amma and both of them together are a nuisance to my eyes and ears...But for Krishna,Kesar and dadi...the thakurs are a bunch of losers who put me off and make me want to switch off to something else- the main reason why I am not watching the show anymore...

Hi Limits 🤗 really missed you

I completely agree with you, Krishna has proven numerous times before that he is capable of thinking differently from his family especially when it came to prats. I mean this is the man who chose to marry her when both of his parents suggested he just go around with her and marry someone in his own caste. Now if he can understand that he did not want to ruin her life but have her in his forever why can't we expect the same man to realize that being kidnapped is not the woman's' fault and if she had been raped that was also nothing she had control over. I have seen his choice today blamed on his upbringing but that was still there when in spite of being a goon he supported prats on certain occasions why the difference in this situation. Even if he was shocked i would expect a man who loved his wife unconditionally to feel devastated when he learned his wife never loved him but here he is upset about her purity. 🤢

Tanthya, excellent post as usual.

So glad you concentrated on the Kriya scenes, wish the episode would do so as well.😊
People keep saying that if Krishna really loves her, the question of her 'purity' would not come up at all.....for it would not matter to him if his love is real. The question has nothing to do with love.
Krishna Singh is a product of his upbringing and the society and country he lives in. Backward as it it, the expectation is still very large that a women is pure - especially in the small towns and villages that 'Pratigya' is based on. This is not a western country, where to the majority it doesn't matter how many partners each couple have before they get together. So I'm really perplexed that many of the IF members don't seem to even acknowledge that and keep saying 'but it shouldn't matter'......BUT it does to those people, it is the beginning and the ending.

Small town upbringing or big town upbringing, what matters at the end of the day is does Kirhsna love Prats totally and unconditionally, enough to look past the so called 'impurity'? We just found out that he does not. Had he got angry with her for not trusting him with the truth earlier, I would have applauded him but that does not seem to be his problem right now.

So krishna to ask that Q is logical, he grew up knowing and expecting his wife to be pure.....

What is purity by the way? Is it only related to the body and not the soul? Even if Prats was raped I would think that she is still pure for she did not do so in a free will. Krishna knows that she was taken against her will and yet he questions how she could have been untouched. I literally cringed at that.

falls in love with someone like Pratigya, shown to be all sanskari and educated and yet sweet and honest. Off course his mind is going to connect the dots and fixate on one point - never mind if it's the right one or not - because this is the expectation now shattered and this is what happens in a not so modern place....... It is a big mistake to attribute western qualities and sensibitlites where there isn't any or cannot be. This show is trying to show a realistic cause and effect: for every action there is an equal cause and opposite reaction.

I dont think it is merely a western quality to empathise with a rape victim. Anyone who has a decent amount of humanity left in him would do so. Coming to every action leading to an equal and opposite reaction, why then are so many after Prats blood for taking 'revenge' against the guy who she thought perpetrated the kidnapping? Why did they want her to consummate her marriage when she positively hated her husband for what he did and purported to haev done to her and her family, under the name of obligation? I found Prat wasbeing unfair in not confiding in him after she came to know the truth but seeing Krishna's reaction yesterday, I wonder what he would have done had she told him earlier. Even then the question about her chastity would have arisen, isn't it? I do hope that they do not spend the rest of the show showing Prats trying to establish her chastity.

So don't think a womens virginity shouldn't matter - it matters very much as this is an honest and griitty realism of life in india.

For someone who lives in UK you seem to know a lot about Indians. Please do not generalise. There are men, including in small towns and villages who have accepted women who may have been molested/raped or even had a voluntary union with a man not her husband, because they were truly in love. Krishna is portrayed as not just another ordinary goonda, but one who is supposedly so crazily in love with Prats that he claimed to go against the world for her. So why should what the society thinks matter to him? If Angad had raped her, would he not accept her as his wife? If no, then his claims to love rings hollow.

Though I live in the UK, by watching the show for the past few months, I got to know the characters and l understand why this is important for a man from a small village/town - especially here as he has been made a laughing stock by his own wife and yet he is standing by her....in real life, I doubt many men would. That is the sad reality. So for Krishna to question Prats, well it's nothing but realistic.

I dont deny that he has the right to be indignant but his reason for indignation is all wrong to me (at least coming from a man in love). He should have been angry that she trusted him so less, not that she may not be a virgin. I hope they show him introspect and come clear on this issue in future. As to realism, this show has not always been realistic, so why this sudden clamour for realism which by the way is still disputable for I would consider Krishna questioning her about why she hid the truth more realistic, given his claims to love her.
