Why was the Slap NECESSARY ??

Even during the second time, Pratigya tolerated when Angad said that he had made a mistake by letting her go untouched and he should have done the job more properly - ie. r*** her!!! She didnt do nything to him when he was sprouting nonsense about her BUT how can one tolerate and plan a strategy when someone is expressing their thoughts of r**ing one's sister, right in front of her??? So she slapped the monkey, NOT bcoz it was necessary but BCOZ she had had enough of his nonsense and she wanted him to shut up, right then!!! And I think, words wont humiliate Angad as much as a slap did and after humiliating the Saxenas on a daily routine, I think it was necessary that he was given a chance to taste his own medicine!!!

Now, if the medicine does not have its effect on someone like Angad, and he comes back to take revenge on Pratigya - it is definitely NOT Pratigya's fault but a HUGE flaw in the characteristic of Angad as a dirty human!!!

COZ, slapped or not, someone like Angad can never learn or accept his mistakes or humiliations... So, just like Pratigya said, its better to take action against Angad and die than just let him take the advantage of their silence and die out of frustration and humiiation!!!👍🏼

Limit ji, If your post is not sufficient to explain the necessity or reactive nature of the slap then nothing could ever conclude this topic. 👏, We really appreciate and admire the way you write your posts.

Thanx for understanding my POV... And dont worry! Tanthya is one viewer who is NOT obsessed about ny character! And I think, she actually reads and tries to understand the POV of the opposite opinion!!! And I am really glad that I can discuss in her topic without dreading to offend her or making her feel like she is banging her head on an iron-wall(or so I hope, 😆) She takes everything very humorously, or so I felt - after reading her comments and discussing with her so far!!! 😉

Don't ask Me ! I am asking everybody ...after the slap-gate,Almost 80-90% of the posts that I read said Slap was NECESSARY..this particular word was used without a change in its syllable...hence the poser !

There are many ways of expressing your anger,being physically abusive [this word was used when Krishna slaps Pratigya] towards a worm was one of them.

I absolutely adore you ...you just said the words that I was mulling over ever since the slap-gate ...Krishna undoubtedly deserved slaps on a few occasion and even Komal deserved it once or twice but we don't see Pratigya raising her hand in a hurry, even when he attempts to abuse her,she will be fighting him silently and even when she is tied up in the jeep,she contents herself by giving him burning glares..but never does she raise her hands against him ..but when angad is warming up [remember Aarushi herself would have said angads's condition's and Angad's words would not be a complete shocker]....and has not even hit a a proper note ...ZATTAK !..this is what I am not able to digest ...Pratigya has been shown to be a thinking person, a slow burner ..she will not REACT, instantly.All her action happen after undergoing a lengthy thought process be it Kesar's pregnancy or her fake pregnancy or even her marriage or even Angad's despicable act in train ...all happens after considerable thought....but this instant reaction to that creeps words are an aberration, Such an act would have fitted Komal/Aarushi or even Nainaji..
Pratigya is not shown to be human giving in to impulses, she is shown to be a rock able to withstand innumerable shocks, she is a pillar of strength,but by slapping the Pillar of strength has developed a crack.

Had Pratigya remained true to form , then she would have savaged Angad verbally, humiliated him in such a way that there would have been no place to hide and then handed him to Police ...

when a doctor knows that the medicine is not giving the desired result, he changes the medicine similarly Pratigya should have realised that Slaps are like a masala paan for Angad and should have tried something else [ After all she is a thinking, progressive Lady]

Honey, I did not miss ur point...I did not make myself clear..I am not blessed with limitswa's infinite patience..therefore my posts are short,incoherent , I depend on reader's to fill in the gaps😆..so let me make things clear..when I said that slap doesn't work on Angad , I did not mean that she shud shut up and suffer in silence..I meant for her to apply her brain and come up with an effective way of teaching Angad..

pratigya made a strategic mistake - hmm this was an untoward incident and the situation was such that there was no time to work out a strategy. the slap was a natural reaction. staying calm and letting angad touch her in the wrong places would be like encouraging him even more.
surely u r not thinking that a girl can stay calm and quiet when a rowdy starts making advances towards her in public. ignoring lewd comments is possible but physical advances r not easy to tolerate by any self respecting woman. what pratigya did was a natural reaction. a less stronger woman would have pushed him back. a more bolder woman would have beat him black and blue a normal one would just slap him. it is basic human nature. pratigya was not insulting or humiliating angad when she slapped him. neither was she trying to prove that she's a tough character. she just did what any other woman would have done in her place. it is a basic human reaction.

First when I said Strategic mistake, I was talking about Aarushi fiasco...more particularly I was thinking about Pratigya obligingly mention about her personal life to Angad. No person in her/his right mind will willingly hand over a loaded weapon to be used at later date.

A normal Woman would have ignored a rowdy's advance , A stronger person would have tried to repulse his advance by abusing him or taking him along with the help of other's , A courageous woman would have taught him a lesson .., Pratigya was a courageous Woman..

If slapping a rowdy was what a normal woman would have done...then this society would have turned into a slap fest society, Unfortunately Woman still continue to put up with this indignity silently

Tanthya , my two cents on your topic . Your question ........Was the Slap necessary is not to debate whether a person slaps coz he feels its necessary or only due to natural reaction , but more to emphasize the stupidity of the way of dealing with a gunda. . Coz Angad is a gunda , no two ways about it , and Pratigya knows this very well . . He is low life , scum , and Pratigya knows this very well too . . Well what does a low life talk ? Filth . Obviously , only filth . I wanna bed u , I wanna rape u , I want money from u , I love ur figure this and that will only spew out of his mouth . Why wud anyone expect him to give controlled reactions or reactions expected to a 'certain level' and once he crosses that level ............it becomes the NOW ITS SLAP TIME LEVEL ? . The true fact is ..........with goons like Angad there is no level , they always spew filth only . Then why shud that surprise so much or shock so much ? To take that filth to heart so much , is Pratigya emotionally involved with Angad ? Neither is she emotionally involved with this man to get this het up , nor is is unaware of the fact that he is scum and can only spew filth . The nature of a cobra is to bite venomously only , so if one goes to deal with a cobra what does one expect , that the cobra is going to abide by any levels or hiss poisonously all the time ? Will anyone be even remotely surprised that the cobra hisses ? I would call the one who is surprised that the cobra hissed strongly as a fool . . This girl in her early twenties , without any experience of anything whatsoever , decided to tackle a gunda ALONE . And when dealing with him , she proved that she was nOT adequately mentally prepared to deal with the types of him at all , she is just a raw , emotional , bookish kid who let him get to her and snapping , slapped him , touched him again , to prove a point . The cobra who hisses , when a stone is thrown at him flares his hood , and definetely decides to attack . So if ur dealing with it , u have to keep a cool head and only focus on it being caught in the trap and that it is taken away . U cannot deal emotionally with a snake . .
I read many who say , then what , shud she have allowed him to just talk like that ? I say to this.........who cares what he talks ?Its FILTH ! Why take filth to heart at all ? What will happen when a stone is thrown in mud ? Will the mud clear away or will that mud splash on you ?

If she had prepared so well to trap Angad , [ calling police etc, keeping Arushi out oif the picture ] she shud have prepared herself mentally also to deal with him ..........knowing that he is scum and will spew only scum . If she allowed him to get to her , it is her INADEQUACY to deal with such a situation that surfaced and this time her sister will pay for that inadequacy . The inadequachy becomes even more promininent when we see her telling the stalker about her PERSONAL LIFE . Coz No jail in UP will hold Angad , he can be out in a few months by bribing corrupt police there , and since he regards Pratigya as Krishna's marked territory , he will try to leave his mark on Arushi who is unmarked territory in his mind .Thats the mind of a frightful stalker for you .
