Part Three
"And what do YOU want?" he asked Shakti who just entered the hall with a sombre expression.
Shakti hesitated a bit and then said, "Bauji, some labours have gone on a strike. They are not working and they are inspiring everyone to become rebels."
"Cut down all of their throats." SS declared simply. Shakti scratched his head, "Erm..Bauji, they're..erm..a lot of people."
SS narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "You are giving information like feeding tit-bits to a dog, a little bit of this and little bit of that! Cough up, tell the whole story."
Shakti gulped. "Well, err..erm...it's the whole bunch of workers of the glass factory. The production has stopped."
"WHAT!!! And you son of a b***h are telling me now. How long has it been going on? And why haven't you managed them yet?"
"I tried Bauji. But they are a bit, well, too much determined this time. They want their pay-rise and many more things."
If looks could kill someone, Shakti would've been dead by now. Sajjan Singh kept throwing deathly glares at Shakti and analysised the situation on his head. Shakti was never good at handling people in crisis period. Threats never worked when the labours went on a strike, tactice was required to better this kind of situation. And that was Krishna's job.
Krishna hated to work. He preferred to roam around Allahbad with his cronies, throwing around his weight everywhere and being the local 'bhaia' of all the people. Perhaps that's why he understood how to deal with the workers and labours and how to convince them.
So every time something wrong with the workers, Krishna came to rescue. But this was such a bad-timing...the idiot was lying half dead in the hospital. Wretched moron!
"Only Krishna can manage...." Shakti grumbled voicing what SS was thinking all along.
"Don't tell me something I already know, you unworthy idiot. Baba can manage, so Baba will manage."
"Are you made of stone or what?" Buniya protested at once, "my child is so much ill and you are planning work for him!"
"Oh shut up stupid woman. Baba is a Thakur and he'll be alright, Thakur's don't pay a damn to physical injuries. They can do whatever they want to do." he got up and went towards his room, his mind whirling with thoughts. Yes, Krishna was a Thakur, that too his own son. He knows very well that Krishna won't think twice to benefit himself from this situation.

"Ae Baba, why are you refusing meals?" asked an exasparated SS. "So much wish to die, eh?"
Krishna ignored him. He was sitting up on his hospital bed, leaning against a number of pillows. The nurse was very reluctant to let him, it was not good for his wound. Moreover, he's on some strange vow, it seemed to her, and kept refusing food. Still he managed to shout at her numerous times and complain on the simplest things like a overgrown baby.
It's only after she's said, "From where are you getting so much energy? Want to use it in something productive?" and winked.
Crude though he was, he felt highly scandalised at the nurse's suggestion and stopped nagging her. The nurse has grinned to herself, good old nursing training to deal with every kind of patient!
Now he was giving silent treatment to SS who tried to make him eat. But no avail. Finally, SS gave up. "Ok, don't eat. Die, for all I care stubborn fool. But there's something I need to tell you."
"Then why are you wasting your time beating around the bush. Say it." Krishna glared at his father. SS controled the urge to slap him. He explained the situation to Krishna in breif. Krishna suddenly looked as if his birthday has come early. SS got highly annoyed at the 'extremely pleased' look on his face. "Now why are you goading like this? I'll drag you out of your fancy bed and send you there to handle it."
"I know you will." Krishna replied happily.
"What's there to be so much happy?" SS growled.
"As if you don't know Bauji." Krishna smirked. ""You know Bauji, I'm missing Pratigya very much."
SS sighed as he looked at his son, "I know what you mean. Ok, I admit defeat. I'll bring you your wife back..."
Krishna continued to smirk, fingering the wound on his right arm, where the bullet pierced him. "Now get me out of this damn smelly place."
"I will, now eat your food."
"Only after seeing her." Krishna stated.
"Shameless! Behooda! Disgrace on Thakur's family and blood! Dishonouring all the generation of Thakurs...."

Komal was on the terrace of the Saxena house. She's volunteered to take care of the clothes that needed to be hanged on the terrace. She thought it would be easy. But the easiest job becomes hard in an inexperienced person's hand. So, she's successfully managed to entangle herself in one of her mother-in-law's sarees. Her face was covered with the saree and she was unable to see.
"Oh, damn, damn, what happened. Sasuma does it so easily. Uh, why isn't this cloth getting off me. Ouch..who is that!" she screamed as she felt someone tugging her from behind. She struggled only to get herself more entangled. She heard the sound of laughter. It was Adarsh. She kept quiet as he helped to remove the saree from her head, laughing loudly all the time.
As soon as she could see again, she jumped on him. "You! You! What are you laughing at? Me? I would..I would.."
Her stammering made him laugh more and she started to punch him all over. Still laughing, he held her hands tightly with his own and said, "I know you are Thakur's daughter and can shoot an object from a mile but none of this punching with me." Komal remembered how she's threatened to shoot his skull on their honeymoon and turned slighly pink. "I should've, you know." she replied heatedly, trying to free herself from his grip. "Come on, let me go, why are you holding me?"
"Well free yourself if you're so strong."
"Oh, first let me get free and then I'll show..." Komal stopped at mid sentence as the sounds of car was heard. They dropped their mock fight and leaned over the railing to see below. Down, in front of main door, Sajjan Singh was standing with two guards.
