I was totally in the "Varun is innocent" camp, so I was disappointed too. I knew that they will not show Rudra killing an innocent man knowingly but thought they would come up with some creative way of how Rudra ends up killing Varun and Paro seeing it, but alas...just trying to make peace with it and move on.

Already bracing myself for the innumerable times other characters are going to be made to look dumb to make the hero and rarely but sometimes the heroine look smart. Part and parcel of Hindi soaps.

now that they have made banna sa the bad guy n dead i want two things frm RR...

1. Paro kills Thakur wid those guns...yes i want Paro to be the only one to kill Thakur😆

I would love that but I doubt it given how its Rudra's aim to expose and defeat Thakur
Having said that the PH's maiden show had the female lead's mother killing the main villain ala her husband by putting a bullet right at the centre of his forehead
I didnt want the villian to die as he was my fav character in the show, but they did show a woman putting the bullet
So maybe all is not lost 😆

2. Paro falling in love wid Rudra before clearing the MU which ll most probably b done by thakur. i think that story ll b more interesting. Rudra ll feel guilty, Paro ll b sry but i want love before clarification of MU!

I am pretty sure that they will fall in love before the MU is cleared
But I think, it will be Paro who will be guilty for loving the man who killed her husband. Rudra might be guilty too for generalising Paro as a traitor but not as much as Paro IMO

does that sound weird!😆

I wont call varun being a bad guy a cliched twist. Thats life if you ask me. How many times have we come across sugary sweet guys only for them to be found out eventually?

I called it a twist simply because thats how the dialogue writer described it
However I agree with you, twist isnt the riight word, its life indeed.
But cliched it was for a soap. Its common place to make/show third party in a love story worng/bad. Makes it easier to show leads together without much trouble/morality. Maybe its just lazy unimaginative writing

But I am sure I will learn to get over it

RBO is Rang Badalti Odahani
Used to air on esrtwhile channel Star One. was popular at its time
Didnt watch it but have and idea abt the story
Coincidently, I think the female whose newly marries husband was accidentaly killed by the hero was a Rajasthani chori too

Yes, it was an easy way out. For me the low was not him being involved in the bad deeds with the whole barat but that he pointed gun at Paro. It would be foolish on any security personal's part to let him off the loose when the whole barat was involved in smuggling and killed so many security personals. In real world even the bride would be a suspect as I think they would show. But despite all this Varun could have been shown as genuinely wanting to settle down with Paro.

Sigh. I was hoping that Varun would be a good guy, his initial interactions with Paro were really cute, but I kind of knew he wouldn't be, for many reasons.

Firstly, this baarat comes every year, and every year they come smuggling arms. For such a dangerous operation, everyone has to be slick and sly, and together. Crossing the border with guns stashed away is no child's play. I struggle to believe that Varun would be completely oblivious to all this happening right under his nose. He had to have been in the know. Same with when the wedding was rushed ahead, and the baarat was sent off. He did not create any resistance, and seemed implicit in all the decisions made. Note, that there were NO women in this baarat. All men. All tandrust apparently well-trained men. Varun had to have been at-least aware if not involved, and if aware, I would not see how he would agree to be part of something like that without being involved.

Now, whether his concern for Paro is legitimate or not, that is arguable. It seemed like he genuinely liked her. Maybe even cared for her. But cared for her above and beyond himself and his cause? Probably unlikely. His actions at the end were that of a desperate man pushed into a corner. He knew he was in a tight spot, and threatening Paro's life seemed to be the only way to save his own. Either way, it makes sense. If he turned out to be good, it would be just way too unrealistic.

I thought so too. I know they can't show an army personnel killing an innocent man, but he could have been shot by mistake. Which could have been shot in a way that to Paro it would look like Rudra shot her hubby. But now although we are cheated of our mourning for Varun because we heard it, Paro is still justified in hating Rudra. And she will mourn for her dead husband , who was the embodiment of all her dreams. And herein lies the greatest mystery- how will they ever believe the other? Given their past and present experiences, how will they ever see eye to eye. Let alone romance.
The other thing being , was Varun actually a terrorist? He didn't participate in the fighting, he didn't join his uncle and his cousins. Instead, he quietly put Paro on the cart and was riding home. Does that mean he actually had some feelings for her, however weak they might have been? Was he a devil or was he just a flawed human, like the rest of us? We'll never know the answers to these questions.
