First topic post 😳
I know this show is based on Othello - which I can see clearly through Rudra - but what about Pride and Prejudice?

Not so much the pride but more prejudice - but Paro thinks the BSD killed her parents and her best friend and saw them kill her husband and Rudra is prejudiced against all beautiful women because of his mum. Slowly they will know the truth - but right from the start they are prejudiced against each other due to illusions a great basis for hate and intensity

I find it fascinating when serials bring in famous books/movies into the plot - makes is so much richer

Great post! That's the biggest irony in the PaRud story ... both of them are the embodiment of what they dislike and distrust the most! I'm very glad that for once, it's about both sides of the story, not just one ... makes the story much more balanced.

Thanks Diya - though i love this show so much already I too am glad it is about both Rudra and Paro and they are both under illusions about each other just because of who they are externally - Rudra his job and Paro her beauty

Thanks Nadia - exactly they are both under illusions about each other rather than the truth
