Today's episode had so many things happening that I feel I saw 3 episodes all rolled into one. It was like you blink and you'll miss something important.
But after all that happened, I have a really heavy heart. Binduri Bai-Sa was one of my favorite characters from this Series. And I wanna mourn her death all along. I can't believe it has only been a week and a half and a simple character had gained such attachment from me. I wanna weep. Plus, it was heart breaking how she blindly trusted Thakur-Sa, coming running to him to report something untoward.
The way Thakur-Sa started his story... I have even said it before that, the Raj is what is the stem of his evil. He just couldn't bear being robbed of power, and that is why he is so against the government. It is like in his mind, the British Rule and the Indian Government are one and the same. And he'll do anything to make people worship him. Nothing is wrong in his eyes that keeps him in power. That flourishes his rule over the innocent naive people.
And poor Bindi Sa... She thought she was one of his people that he cared about. Sigh.
For him, all his people are pawns... For convenient use and disposal, whenever he wants.
The story about him being given an empty haveli, and him being a victim there, invoked a genuine reaction out of the pure hearted Bindi... All she wanted was protection and safety of her Paro. But then, what happened?
He just led her to the pond, with the Croc-Sa, and brutally killed her.
My poor heart just wants to believe if there is even a slightest hope that Bindi will be rescued or maybe will come back or something. I just wanted the character to stay in Paro's life for a long time. After all, except Binduri and MaamiSa, who does Paro have to lean on to?
Next came the Laila and Paro scene... CVs do not miss a single opportunity to bring out the stark contrasts in the personalities of their characters. Here, Paro was the naive, innocent one... And wazs genuinely stirred and eager to gain knowledge from Laila. She didn't for once have any sort of malice in her heart, or a prejudice about Laila being a courtesan of sorts. She genuinely wanted to gain knowledge back there... Even though the knowledge was about MEN...
I loved Laila's dialogue regarding the kataar. The third type hurts themselves as much as they hurt others. Lets see if Paro will be able to bear the cuts, or Rudra's kataar will melt with Paro's genuine heart. Only time will tell.
So, the marriage is going to be fast forwarded. I really can't wait for Paro to become a Vidhwa. [As wrong as that may sound... I can't wait.]
I still have no intention of giving the clean chit to Varun Banna-Sa, coz that dialogue made me wary. ThakurSa said, "Moh Maaya... Paro ki, Gaanv ki, Jeevan ki... Moh Maaya tyaag do BaiSa..." That just meant that stop caring what happens to Paro.
That implied that Paro was for sure not going to get her happily ever after with the wedding with Varun.
I sooo knew that Kesari was alive..! I had mentioned that yesterday to dmg2c that the bullet might have just grazed his ear or something, and in fright, he would have opened his mouth. And lo! That's what happened.
Rudra bending the rules to get what he wants was not a surprise to anyone I think. After all, Rudra is Rudra.
What I absolutely loved was Aman phangurling Rudra-Sa. And the absolute dry humor that Rudra has... "Sar mat katwaana... Nahi toh cap kaise pehnoge." It made me laugh for a moment.
I still have that teeny weeny shipper heart in me that wants Bindi and Aman to end up afterwards... Uwaah! Why did she have to die!
