Okay guys, Chapter 3 is up!

Chapter 3

Zain and Rizwan were currently crossing the river on a boat leading towards the Dharbar. The surroundings screamed peace, yet there was still the bustle of people swarming to and from the Dharbar.

"This place is amazing." Rizwan said awed by its beauty.

"That it is." Zain said. "Come let's go." He said when they reached the Darbhar.

They were about to make their way in when Rizwan saw a stand with hats.

"Zain, I think we need to wear hats before we go inside. There's a stall over there." He pointed to a stall. "Let's go and buy a hat for ourselves.

At the stall Zain quickly chose and brought a hat. Rizwan on the other hand, was having a difficult time choosing one. 15 minutes had gone by and they were still stood at the stall.

"Arey, yaar. None of these hats suit me." Rizwan complained.

"You know what, Riz. I'm going in, you can come in when you feel like you've chosen a perfect hat, okay?" Zain said sarcastically.

"Fine." Riz muttered grumpily.

Zain made his way toward the Dharbar, with his hat in his hand. As he climbed up the stairs, a girl bumped into him as she ran up the stairs.

"I am so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." Aliya said turning around to apologise to the person she had bumped into. She had covered her hair and face with the blue dupatta that matched her clothes.

Zain was lost in her mesmerising voice, so familiar, yet so unrecognisable. It seemed as though time had stopped whilst looked.

"Janab, are you okay?" Aliya asked when he didn't reply.

"Yes, I'm fine, thank you. And it okay, don't worry about it."

She nodded her head once before gracefully making her way in. Zain followed her in but separated to the area where the men were.

He sat down and put up his hands up and silently began to pray.

Ya Allah, dad told me to come here today and I have. I know I don't often pray to you and that isn't a good thing but I'm working on it. I wanted to pray for one thing, my dad's happiness. Whatever makes him happy, makes me happy. Please except his duas. Ameen.

Once he had finished praying, he moved his hands over his face and got up. Zain walked out of the Dharbar and went towards the boat, waiting for Rizwan to show up.

"Arey, bhai saab, are you just going to stand there, waiting or are you actually going to get onto the boat. I could be making money somewhere else."

"I'm waiting for my friend to come. And I'm make sure to pay double."

"Okay, bhai saab, take your time." The boat owner happily said, glad he would be earning double from one customer.

He moved and sat down on a bench near the boat.

He got out his phone to check if there were any missed calls or message. As he was doing so, a female's voice interrupted him.

"Bhai saab, would you mind taking back to the bay."

Zain recognised her voice from the stairs. He looked up at saw the back of the woman, her brunette hair shone in the bright sun.

"Nahin motarama, I am already booked. I am taking that janab over there back."

She swiftly turned around to see who it was that caused such a disruption to her daily schedule. She noticed a tanned young man with jet black hair and brown eyes, sat on the bench just behind her. He seemed to be dressed unusually for someone who was visiting the Dharbar, so he definitely wasn't a local, she assumed.

Zain watched as she turned. He was stunned to see such a young woman who looked like an angel. Her brunette hair complimented her tanned flawless complexion.

"Excuse me, janab. I have to be somewhere would you mind letting me take this boat?"

"I am afraid I can't." Zain replied.

Aliya let out a frustrated sigh whilst Zain was struggling with naming the odd emotion he felt towards this young woman.

"Motarama, if you like you can ride back with me and my friend."

It's kindness. Yes, it's just kindness. Zain thought.

"Jazakallah," she said giving a faint smile to Zain.

"You're welcome." Zain replied.

"Bro, that place is so much more amazing from the inside. Did the design of the-" Rizwan came to a stop as he saw Aliya. "Erm, hi."
"Assalamu alaikum." Aliya replied back.

Rizwan moved his head from Zain to Aliya and then from Aliya to Zain.

"She'll be taking the same boat as us to the bay." Zain told his friend, hoping he would behave for once.

"Oh" Rizwan lifted his eyebrows as though he found some hidden agenda as to why Aliya would be travelling would be travelling with them. "Lady's first." Rizwan said to Aliya. "Jazakallah." Aliya said as she moved to sit into the boat.

As Zain stepped into the boat, he moved his hand forward to move the extra oar out of the way, at the same time Aliya decided to use the extra oar to help the man who would be rowing the boat. The sensation of touch sent electrical currents down Zain and Aliya's back. They're hands had recoiled quickly as though they had been electrocuted.

Aliya quickly grabbed the oar and sat at the back of the boat; Zain and Rizwan sat in the middle. As the owner of the boat began to row, so did Aliya. She smiled when she saw the water of the river glisten in the sun. The only thing Zain looked at whilst they were on the same boat was the Aliya's reflection.

Time had flown by and Zain was astonished by how quickly they had reached the bay. Aliya quickly go up and stepped out of the boat.

"Excuse me," Rizwan called out to Aliya. "Would you mind telling us your name?"

Aliya turned around to face both Zain and Rizwan.

"We met by chance today. I don't think we will be bumping into each other again, so I think it is pointless sharing names with a stranger." She took out a 100 rupee note from her bag and handed it to the boat owner.

"Jazakallah," the boat owner replied as he recieved money for the ride over from Aliya.

"Motarma, you do not have to pay for the boat ride here. We hired it." Zain told Aliya.

"I know but I prefer paying my own money for anything I do. And thank you once again for the ride." She said, before walking away to the row of bikes placed at the side of the bay.
