Aishwarya herself didn't have a problem being addressed as Ash for more than 20 years. Suddenly Jaya and Abhishek have a problem with that? So ridiculous.

I never liked Aish but now i feel sorry for her. Because i dont think even she is as hypocritical and fake as this family.

I wonder what the context in which he said this or answered the question was because it would've been so much better just to say 'I think it was a non-issue and too much shouldn't be made out it' rather than defending his mother for the sake of it, when he is (and should be) the last of the likes to say this. Jaya lost her temper and felt a certain way, sure...but why did he have to say such a silly thing just to defend what his mother said...'Nobody calls her Ash'...what, a lot of people call her that 😕 This is the sucky part of being in a BW family...you have to defend and jhelofy the family name and honour if it's an uptight one like Big B and Shatru's. And it's just an abbreviation of her name, it doesn't even encroach anywhere on a disrespectful territory...they've overreacted as if it's a crude word or she's been sworn at or something.

Sadly Abhishek has shown he is no different from his parents, there should be no justification for his mother being rude to the media. Aishwarya has been called Ash for years, if she had a problem with it then she would have set the media straight from the get go but now years later its a problem just because the Bachchans don't like it.

I have a feeling that the Bachans are only doing it because Ash wants it. She doesnt like being called Ash if i recall it correctly from one of her old interviews so instead of saying it herself shes now making her family say it. Seriously nobody would actually be that rude to a journalist the way old Bachan lady was if Ash really didnt mind it.

Why? What's so special about the Bachchan family that makes them automatically deserve respect from the masses?

This is the one thing I absolutely LOATHE about Bollywood, the warped notion that most Bollywood fans and stars have that actors are somehow above the average human. They deserve extra respect. Respect that most people don't even show the truly important people, i.e. the doctors who save lives, the teachers who educate children, the missionaries who help give aid in poverty-stricken countries, the lawyers who take stands for the oppressed, etc.

What have Amitabh and his clan of clowns done? Given us a few Masala hits like Sholay, Khala Patthar, AAA, a couple of critical hits like Khoshish, Guru, and a couple of fun musicals like Taal.

No way in hell am I going to start blindly respecting people just because they've made a few entertaining films. These people are the lowest of low, the day I start respecting them is the day I lose perspective on reality.
