It's not regressive 🤓 We are becoming better day by day. Our literacy rate is going up and even our sex ratio is improving.Rapes happen everywhere (that doesn't justify it but it doesn't make the whole country regressive). Our ladies have started working and standing up for themselves. The progress is slow but its there. The British chors looted us for centuries and they expect us to go back to normal within a century itself.

I think for Mallika, progress means cutting clothes short and locking lips with every tapori you meet. She's no less than a prostitute 🤢

I kind of felt for Malika in this video. I actually like her more after watching it than I did before. Say what you want about her, she is completely passionate in what she believes.

I'm sorry to say that I completely agree with Mallika! (though I haven't watched her interview) Indian society is still very regressive.

I visited India like 5 years ago and it was like a huge cultural shock to me!

The way people stare and whistle at a woman who wears shorts (which never happens in US because everyone wears shorts and tank tops) is just plain creepy. 🤢🤢 It's like they have never seen a woman before in their life!

And it's not just about clothes! The way women are treated/abused is so disgusting. They are treated as properties instead of humans! And if a woman is raped then it's her fault for wearing provocative clothes. I mean what the eff kind of mentality is that?

People (not only villagers but also educated ones) still abort the girl child because supposedly the boy child is superior 🤢🤢

I don't think that just by the little increase of literacy rates, better sex ratios and women working and standing up for themselves is enough! The root of the problem is the mentality. If their mentality doesn't change then no matter how high the literacy, sex and working women ratios are it's not going to make a difference.

O yes she also qualifies for a prostitute. What do Prostitues do? They give others 🤢pleasure for money. And what do these ladies do? Nothing different. And they take money for that.

I don't understand how short clothes can be comfy. Don't they (the girls) who wear them fear that their top may slip off in front of everyone and they cant even bend without showing their undies And I dont see guys roaming around the street bare chested.

As for the bold part, they are not prostitutes but I have some other term for them😳
