I agree Jo is not politically savy but it this very quality which makes her fearless to speak he mind...She is indirectly helping Jallu in identifying treachers...

Thanks for your comments Sandhya. Excellent point about Jalal having to protect Jodha as SD did everything to ruin her character. But, SD if not stopped by Jodha would have continued to give her cheapo stares and uncalled sweet talk. He was not taking revenge on Jodha for being honest, it just that he desired her as his begum. I agree that its hard to digest all this coming from a 16th century woman. Our society even when I grew up was to not talk too much and ignore eve teasing. I always hated that because it felt like admitting I am weak so you have the right to humiliate me. I guess being practical and doing the right thing always do not go hand in hand.

Even back at amer bharmal had simply brushed aside her demand for justice for sujamal early on. (Of she was not as strong or as vehement as she is usually with Jalal. )

Again Jodha is human..she cant have all the qualities...she doesn't have common sense and practicality like MA and Ruku and these both women lack Jodha's idealism...

Meghana idialism is seldom practical ...that's why it is idealism...MA and Ruku are self centerned ppl ...and also power centred ...Ruku's shiny gift to Jallu is nothing but all abt his ego and her ego...

Jodha's intentions are noble no doubt. But her methods are not convincing.

Agreed, MA is a twisted lady crooked in every way and ruqaiya cares two hoots about anyone or anything beneath her. But this is royalty. Not current day democracy. That Jodha could be so caring inspite of being royal makes her intentions even more praiseworthy.

But coming to methods, wish she could be better. She is so intent and passionate on little things, that she misses the larger picture.

She is so convinced of what she does, and her own correctness that she doesn't spare a thought on the possibility of others' correctness too. (As was evident in the recent fake pregnancy track)

During the narnaal disaster, she was so intent on the save nirdosh praani campaign that she almost rung the death knoll for the mughal sultanate. Had her lep not worked it would have spelt doom for herself and the entire kingdom.

Even during the wedding scenes, inspite of bharmal anf menavati explaining their predicament and the inevitability of the marriage, her anger got the better of her and she burnt the joda. Jodha who did so much to save the life of one moti, risked the lives of so many Ameri soldiers and Ameri praja that day.

She never learns from her mistakes because she never owns or accepts her faults.(Unlike Jalal)

Inspite of her faults, her inner strenghth is admirable no doubt. I only wish, she learns judiciousness from Jalal and he benefits from her inner strength. This would make the story more endearing and balanced. Else, if is simply preaching from her side, this khaas show would be reduced to an aam one, the usual saas bahu sagas on tv.

Agree with the sentiments u expressed, Sandhya. I love Jo s character too, upright, honest & supportive of the underdogs too. But being a begum, she has to master the art of subtlety & tact where it s needed. This only will make her endeavours to do good for the people continuously successful in future also. I admire Jalal more because he ponders & learning from his past mistakes & acts accordingly. I want Jodha to exhibit these qualities too. She s a human too & infallible too, just cannot be right every time. I want her also to change some of her weak points & start thinking on them & make herself into a stronger & wiser begum, all by herself.
