I agree... there was no need to put down the female officers every single time. In yesterday's epi, they could have shown Inspector Meenakshi having the upperhand compared to Raghu...its not like that would have affected Arjun's apparent heroic position. Which brings me to the next point, actually this constant glorifying of Arjun gets irritating. Its not realistic that Arjun is never wrong and that he is the only one in the team who ends up solving all the cases. And it never made sense to show Arjun to be always better than the ETF chief... it was good to see Arjun winning against the chief initially but when it happens every single time, it becomes irritating. Right now the team seems to be there for namesake only... we might as well say RIP ETF team. Actually, the CVs failed to maintain a balance of things.

I am so happy to see this conversation taking place!

I remember watching the first few episodes of the show with my sister and we were both surprised at how much Arjun was glorified. We figured that the CVs were setting the tone of the show, showing us just how brilliant Arjun was. Okay, fair enough. But why from the get-go was Rathore shown to be... well, dim? Much like Meenakshi, Rathore was all aggression and no brain. It was like watching someone see a huge rock and say 'Look. A rock.'.

Don't even get me started on the female characters in the show. I stopped watching Arjun altogether for a long time because of the crappy way women were portrayed. Ayesha's entry was promising but post-entry... well, we all know how that turned out. I had no hope by the time Sakshi turned up and rightly so. Liza was okay at first but more or less one dimensional.

I think Riya's death really messed up the planned trajectory of the show. But it's a little worrying that not a single well rounded woman has been seen on the show since her. Did it really take the CVs so long to create an intelligent female character that the months since her death haven't been long enough for them to think of another?

Frankly, I sometimes wonder why I still watch this show. Emotional investment from day one, I suppose and fond memories of how good the show once was. And this forum, of course.
