as u said raji 's character has been portrayed like this only from the beginning..she is prone to commit mistakes...but lakshmi was not like that...once her character was likely to damaged that time also there was no fault at her side..but even though she was ready to throw her promotion for her friends...after knowing the truth all three apologized to her she open mindedly forgave them..
but that is not the case any more now..as she was very well manipulated by susan...she is doubting her friend...
what are all the things she compromised for her friendship initially..she is not ready to do it now ..because the thought of suspect planted strongly in her mind...she is not in her usual self now...
but time will make her to understand the truth..till then we have to wait for our old lakshmi...
