It is after a long time that we get a film with such hype and expectations. Very rarely does this type of type of film come.

Without a shred of doubt, KRRISH 3 is one of the most anticipiated films in Bollywood history!

The reasons for such hype are various!

The Blockbuster father-son director-actor pair Rakesh Roshan-Hritikh Roshan coming together again after 7 years. Each of their three films together (where Rakesh Roshan was the director and Hritikh Roshan was the actor) KAHO NA PYAR HAI, KOI MIL GAYA, and KRRISH were all Blockbusters.

The KRISHH franchise, with KRISHH in 2006 being a Blockbuster and one of the highest grossers ever at the time (just behind HUM AAPKE HAI KAUN and GADAR at the time).

The Hritikh-Priyanka Chopra pairing, whose have done super-succesful films like KRRISH and AGNEEPATH together in the past.

And of course, the super hero/sci fi genre, which generate tremendous curiosity,especially when looking to see how how the special effects are in the film.

So, here's an in-depth analysis of how the film could fare at the box office!

KRRISH 3's trailer released a few months ago, and the response to the trailer was earth-shattering. It became the most liked and most watched Bollywood film trailer ever on Youtube. As I speak, the film's theatrical trailer has 17,638,117 views, with 66,157 likes, and in comparison, only 9,894 dislikes!

After that, things started to slow down. The songs have met with a thanda response, with Ragupati Raghav and Dil Tu Hi Bata being the only two songs that have been liked by people.The song promos of God Allah Aur Bhagwaan and Krrish title song have not been well-received, with the people thinking of the former as being cheesy and the latter being out-dated (song-wise).

But then came the dialogue promos, with the first one creating a record by getting 2 million views.

Now, here's my view on how the film looks. For me, the theatrical trailer was decent, but not completely upto the mark. The problem I had was that the special effects (particularly that seen where Kangana jumps down) looks weird, and a lot of the trailer (including that scene) felt like a video game. That video game style look could be a problem, as similar film Ra One met with a lot of negativity. The similarity between the two films is Red Chillies doing the VFX, and maybe that's why there is that video game feel in terms of effects. For me, the songs are okay, but the title song promo didn't work with me as the song feels too much like a dark song from the early 2000s, it felt like a song from the 2002 film Aankhen hence feeling outdated. The dialogue promos were a mixed bag for me, with there being some good stuff and some bad stuff.

I think Rakesh Roshan knows what to deliver to the audience. The Blockbuster success of his films like KARAN ARJUN, KAHO NA PYAR HAI, KOI MIL GAYA and KRRISH are proof of that. The songs shouldn't cause much problem for the film, because there are three songs being shown in the film, out of which 2 of them (Ragupati Raghav and Dil Tu Hi Bata) have been liked by people. The third one, God Allah Aur Bhagwaan will work with children. It will be interesting to see how the film works with different sections of the audience. The film will definitely work with children, and when they are on board then so is the family audience. For the masses, they will enjoy the action, but it remains to be seen if they understand and can connect with the story and characters. One thing I would like to mention is that KRRISH (2006) had hit songs and the setting in the first half of the film was a village with a love story developing as well, which could connect with the audience in the interiors. That seems to be missing in KRRISH 3, with a dark feel to it and the romantic track might be sidelined here, and only one romantic song has been liked. For the urban youth, they will compare the film with Hollywood superhero flicks, and that could be a problem for KRRISH 3, especially due to the weird characters in the film like "Antman" etc.

Good news for the film though is that the pre-release reports for the film (of those who have seen the film) are very good, although this can be misleading as some films in the past with good pre-release reports didn't meet box office expectations.

I think Hritikh will end up getting nominated for Best Actor award at award shows. As Rohit, he is still completely in character, and as Krishna/Krrish, he seems to carry the same intensity he had in AGNEEPATH.

Opening wise, the film will definitely have an earth-shattering opening, although the non-holiday factor could prevent the film from breaking the opening day record. After the first five days (Tuesday there is a holiday, although restricted, of Bhai Duj), it will be the content (whether good or bad) that will do the talking. Important cricket matches featuring Sachin start from November 14, so KRRISH 3 has about 2 weeks to collect majority of what it can. As seen in the past, cricket matches affect collections badly, which even happened with major film DABANNG 2 last year. Also, RAM LEELA releases on November 15, and that will take some of the screens away from KRRISH 3.

Opening Day: 25+ crores net

Opening 5 Day Weekend: 110+ crores net

Lifetime Collections: 200+ crores net

Overall Box Office Verdict: Blockbuster
