Chaahat Vs. Kismat : Mohabbat Vs. Muqaddar

Till date all of us have thought of these lines as Asad being Zoya's chaahat, and Ayaan being Zoya's kismat. May be we have not thought like that, but feared, atleast once in our lifetime. In the initial days , based on the initial synopsis, may be we feared the otherway around, but once the OTPs were established, we all have feared, that Zoyaan may be Zoya's Muqaddar. Yesterday, we were told once again, that Zoya's mohabbat was Asad and she chooses it over her Muqaddar.

But , may I please say, I beg to differ?

The lines were not in the context of Zoya's choice between Asad and Ayaan. The lines are indicative of Zoya's biggest turmoil... Asad versus Gaffur. Yesterday, with Zoya's speech on why she always felt that nikaah should be a ta-umra commitment, and how she felt when her father deserted her mom at the altar , we see that the foundation for her relationship with Gaffur were finally laid. She does not want to get into a relationship that she can not commit to for life, and thus ran away from her first nikaah. This is a bit contradictory - because she did exactly what she does not want to do - run away from the altar, but she has her own justifications for it, which is why eventually when Gaffur shares his story, she will be able to "understand"? The second time around, she runs away her nikaah, she does, because she believes she will come back in time, but more so because she has the confidence that her ta-umra commitment to Asad has been established, albeit, subconsciously. She knows, that wedding or not, Asad knows, and she knows, that her heart has only one ruler - Asad.

Eventually, her deepest chaahat is Gaffur... But yesterday she has (in context of the lines above) taken the first step towards accepting her destiny. Yes it is Mohabbat ki jeet, and she chose love over destiny (contradicting the lines, "Jo chaahat hai, usko paane ki taakat dena Jo kismat hai, usse qubool karne ki himmat dena Toh aiye, dekhiye, Zoya ki kismat, usse kahan le jaati hai...")

Agree, and we saw the trailer yesterday!!!
