Leaving aside the stupid stuff about Islam that she makes up just to move the story forward, she's doing a damn well job.

I dont mind Wah Wah's you know that. 😎 🤣

No but seriously.. The ONE place GUL has NOT messed up in is the religious aspect of it. I dont think anyone should be discrediting her there. She IS doing a DAMN good job breaking barriers.. not just in religion but as a SHOW as a whole, Gul has seriously RAISED the bar in the TV industry.. what she shows is provocative, contemporary, and mainstream. Its not the TYPICAL stuff. And i commend her for that.

Oh okay. But don't you guys think, many other races feel like Islam is really like that?

We, being a Muslims, understand her point, but will others?

Many others don't look at it the way we do as Muslims.

Im not Muslim. Im Hindu, and I see what Gul is showing and understand it. It doesnt matter HOW GUl shows it .. it doesnt even have to be about Islam.. take ANY storyline with a MESSAGE.. and at the end of it.. those that WANT to understand it WILL and those who are TOO backwards will not. Thats just the unfortunate workings of this world. Some people WILL get it in one shot.. and some people doesnt matter HOW much you drum it into their pee size brains will NEVER get it.

All Gul is doing is showing in her own CREATIVE way .. the sterotypes of her own culture and I respect that as a story teller. Its one area she has not failed in.

Yeah although i am a huge fan of Gul Khan shows but i agree that this nikah between ayaan and Zoya has no meaning at all and it is not at all Valid..
Nikah cannot happen without the acceptence of both the guy and girl..She could have got them married in some other manner I mean it should have been logical
Gul get Asad and Zoya back together It is a request from a crazy fan of your shows 😳

/QUOTE]
It was originally mentioned that Muslims stereotypes will be depicted, which they have been. Stereotypes aren't exactly the most positive things in the world. They are simply faulty generalizations... which might counter your argument against the oppression of women.

However, as nice as it would be to turn a blind eye to the morbid aspects of our religion, it's not realistic. The religion, as well as the culture, that Qubool Hai portrays does indeed oppress its women.

Well, the only problem with the fake nikah fiasco was that even the stereotypes don't do that (the execution of track was extremely poor) and if Gul wanted to actually depict the stereotypes, she should have raised real problems faced by Muslims in Indian society rather than something that was never heard before 😕

I understand your point too. But like someone below who commented, said that Gul should've taken up stances on real stereotypes rather than the ones she has stances on. Gul could've tackled real problems rather creating crap for her show.

I also agree how she's showing the entire crap nicely but really I had many hopes from her for this show, and many others did too.

I also hate how she is saying "it's a brother's clash" because it's not.

It's not family drama. It's not about Islamic or Muslim stereotypes.

It's just about Asad and Zoya fighting against all odds for their love.

But she still denied that it's based on a lovestory.

Even if Producers or Directors or even CVs try to show family drama and realism, no one likes it, so they go back to lovestories.

This exactly happened with Qubool Hai.

I just pity Gul.

I agree her execution is aweful. But her meaning and purpose behind the marriage is well stated. We just need the right pair of eyes rather than letting our views be marred by the fact that we as fans dont like what is bring shown, if we look at it creaitvely is she not showing the hypocracy of society well? Here everyone thinks marriage is sacred and isnt a joke.. when its being made into the biggest joke ever. Society says marriage is a pavitra relationship and done from the heart and at the same time society is condoning a marriage that was accidental and means nothing to the two people bound by it.
If we look at it its done properly. The only reason no one likes it is cause of execution and because we all are seeing it from the perspective of a fan.
