Are you saying that Hinduism advocates contract marriage?
Or that premarital sex is advocated?

they way the CV's are portraying the muslim religious marriage rituals is horrifying. even in a country like india is the religious community so very regressive. this track is just an insult to the muslim religious community, they are depicted as authoritarian and irresponsible, they do not once try to find out the reason behind what really happened, and why Ayaan and Zoya left the masjid without signing the nikha nama.
Gul is glorifying women like Hassina, her greed, her insensitivity, her self centered ness. her vile ugly face. women like Hassina should he made to stand at the cross roads and stoned to death, same goes for Razia and Tanveer. and Shireen should be stoned for her sheer stupidity.

Qubool hai has the worst portrayal of women. these women are not simple villains or negative character they are monsters. horrible scary monsters.

the world is crying out that women should be respected, but women like Razia Tanveer and Hassina only inspire hatred. and Gul is giving them so much importance, that they can do anything they want and not face any punishment. great message you are giving the world Gul. Put your greed above your childrens happiness, to hook a rich man get pregnant and say the child is his. go to the point of murder to keep your life secure. push your own children into a life time on unhappiness so that your burden is lightened. choose your daughter in law by the colour of their skin. does not matter how good her heart is.

if women are the ones to degrade and humiliate women then how can you blame the men. for doing the same. it seems that this is what Gul Mata wants to portray and glorify

Pardon me if my reply is irrelevant to your comment. I'm having trouble comprehending your comment, so I will try to the best of my ability.

I won't argue further regarding Hinduism and contract marriages, as my knowledge is limited. However, I think it is safe to generalize by saying that no religion advocates annihilation of the sanctity of matrimony.

I think you agreed that premarital sex is not advocated by any religion or culture. Yet, almost every other Indian drama shows it. But since the audience likes it for superficial reasons, who cares about whether its in accordance with a given culture or religion, right?

And lastly, there is such thing in Islam as a Mut'a.

However, Qubool Hai never promised to serve as a blueprint for the proper depiction of Islam. It's a fictional show and for that reason, I am willing to roll my eyes and look past this. People have better means of acquainting themselves with the workings of Islam. All of which are better than a TV show.

I doubt other shows on TV portray Hindu practices correctly. I don't see people harping this string with other religions. Bits and pieces of the religion are taken to move the storyline forward. That is all.

And I say all this as a Muslim. Since I am willing to watch this story line pan out with batting an eye, does that mean shame on me too? I would hope not.

I completely agree here with you.
Especially at bold. At the bold, what people don't understand is that the show's name is Qubool Hai, not Islam 101. Just because it's based on Muslim family does not mean they are going to show everything by the book. I agree, it's disappointing to see certain things portrayed the wrong way, especially when it comes as you said from a logical standpoint. But in reality, no Muslim is perfect, everyone has their flaws.

i wont say that any fiction promises to show everything by rule book of any religion, culture or race...and in indian telly wood its actually almost impossible as they depend on twisted dramas...😆
and i have no ocean of knowledge about even my culture let alone others😆
shows are portraying anything but regressive ..more or less😆
though i do not accept the way QH has been played out lately...call me tunnel visionary, dumb, old school thought, or basic logic hunter in fiction😆
anyways everyone has their own opinion as everyone's definition of drama differs 😃
i do not expect anything moral from any of shows...because they will never do it 😆

but my only displeasure with gul is that she used her punchline "this is muslim based show which will change the misconception of muslims as she used to be hurt that most of the muslim based fiction ends to portray muslims in bad light and she wants to change this myth" for publicity to promote the show..

but the moment she said it first time she indirectly took responsibility of showing muslims in somewhat good light .

as a non muslim viewer i do not expect gul to by some islam rule book ...as its fiction but i do not want to see muslims culture in bad light only and regressive which is actually not true.

i hope she sticks to what she said otherwise i do not have issues with her or show as i have no hopes form her or show😆
