and i have no ocean of knowledge about even my culture let alone others😆
shows are portraying anything but regressive ..more or less😆
though i do not accept the way QH has been played out lately...call me tunnel visionary, dumb, old school thought, or basic logic hunter in fiction😆
anyways everyone has their own opinion as everyone's definition of drama differs 😃
i do not expect anything moral from any of shows...because they will never do it 😆

but my only displeasure with gul is that she used her punchline "this is muslim based show which will change the misconception of muslims as she used to be hurt that most of the muslim based fiction ends to portray muslims in bad light and she wants to change this myth" for publicity to promote the show..

but the moment she said it first time she indirectly took responsibility of showing muslims in somewhat good light .

as a non muslim viewer i do not expect gul to by some islam rule book ...as its fiction but i do not want to see muslims culture in bad light only and regressive which is actually not true.

i hope she sticks to what she said otherwise i do not have issues with her or show as i have no hopes form her or show😆

WORD...

@Red...I think this is the only thing we all didn't like about it...I mean, yes, its fiction and all...But if she already said that she is going to show how Islam isn't that bad as today's society thinks it is...we thought she was going to do that...non muslim or muslim, anyone who doesn't really know about Islam must be thinking this is how Islam works as the maker promised/said that she is going to show Muslims like they are...Thinking that this must be Muslim's way of doing...this all raised the percentage of believe that Islam really does NOT give any rights to women and etc...!!!

why doesnt this woman stop this crap she is making and giving the world the wrong ideas of muslims.. of which this show has not at any time shown one thing that is correct to the muslim way life.. i dont care if she is making fiction or not, people have a tendency to believe whatever they view... and this is utterly false.. she should really be quite ashamed for promoting such falsehood in the name of entertainment...

@Jazzy: I know Qubool Hai never promised to portray Islam, but it did mention that it will portray Muslim stereotypes. "Technically" they are but me being a Muslim myself I feel like they are showing Islam bad and having women being oppressed.

It was originally mentioned that Muslims stereotypes will be depicted, which they have been. Stereotypes aren't exactly the most positive things in the world. They are simply faulty generalizations... which might counter your argument against the oppression of women.

However, as nice as it would be to turn a blind eye to the morbid aspects of our religion, it's not realistic. The religion, as well as the culture, that Qubool Hai portrays does indeed oppress its women.

Exactly. 👏

We always want to say our religion isnt like this, and she is showing something negative about it when its not true. Albiet that may be true. Islam and Muslim culture most definitely may not be ANYTHING like what Gul is showing.. and thats the BEAUTY of it. Because what Gul is showing, is similar to the way people who are NOT Islamic see the religion. She is showing the stereotypes. and to BREAK the stereotypical images, one must actually SHOW what the stereotypes are. How can change be brought upon without KNOWING what the issue is?

Honestly Gul may be doing a LOT of shitty things to her show, but when it comes to religion, religious tolerance, and breaking barriers and stereotypes.. she is doing a PHENOMENAL job. 😳

Is it my turn to do a Wah Wah now? 😃

Leaving aside the stupid stuff about Islam that she makes up just to move the story forward, she's doing a damn well job.

Oh okay. But don't you guys think, many other races feel like Islam is really like that?

We, being a Muslims, understand her point, but will others?

Many others don't look at it the way we do as Muslims.
