2 films a year which Salman did till 2012 is optimum IMO. Akki and other established stars should do the same.

Bad part: Feeling sad for Akki

Good part: The masala genre is no longer a guaranteed superhit formula !!

he should go back to doing comedys and rom-coms for a little while. and boss just looked like a flop from the beginning. sometimes a title can be off putting and the title boss was definetely not very appealing along with the trailer and akshays look. he has a movie called "it's entertainment" which you can pretty much tell is gonna be a flop since no one is going to pay to watch a movie called its entertainment. but the main thing is that hes being paid tons of money to do these movies. hes always the number one or two spot for most income tax paid. i dont understand why he's not doing singh is king or namstey london sequel before he gets too old.
* just googled it and on akshays wikipedia it says namastey london 2 and its releasing 2015!!! and there was a hindustan times article too from a few weeks ago about it. hope its true😊

Just because some earlier masala entertainers worked, they all over utilized it and started giving crap without worrying about content.

I believe even these films need to have a strong storyline and content.

There are some masala films that are really good like Wanted, Dabangg, CE(average), Rowdy Rathore, Singham(the best)

But some of them are just messed up - Dabangg 2, Besharam, Bodyguard, Ready, Himmatwala, Ek Tha Tiger(don't call it a film of RAW agent)

As for Salman, he is in completely different league. His films will still work, but even he has started picking up different projects.

So other stars - specially Akshay needs to slow down and come up with a GREAT masala entertainers and not a crap like Khiladi 786 or Boss.

BTW his next masala entertainers Holiday and Ramana remake will be huge hits. Because they are being directed by good directors - A R Murugaddoss and Krrish. But then there is a possible flop like It's Entertainment.

So, he shouldn't pick up every film that comes his way. Also two films a year is enough for superstar like him.
