Trying to catch up on story after a gap. Can someone help me with the mystery? Why did Alak sacrifice her dreams by getting married to Inkesh to save Pramad? thx.

Pramad killed Inesh's family by driving his car over them in drunken state and to prevent Pramad from going to prison Alak had to marry Inesh.

Thanks for this...I too have recently started rewatching and was wondering what that was about. All this time I've been thinking that Alak just didn't like her husband because he's a bit of a dweeb and that she'd been forced to marry him for political reasons. I wonder if the mo emotionally blackmailed her the way she did the dad by threatening to fast. Alak is strong and when the time comes I hope she'll be standing next to Kumud.
