Its final: Sonia Balani is the new Pihu TOI

After a lot of confusion and
auditioning several actresses,
producer Ekta Kapoor has finally got
her new Pihu.
Fenil Umrigar, who had entered the
show as the lead couple " Ram and
Priya Kapoor's beloved daughter " a
few weeks ago as the grownup Pihu
post the seven-year time-leap, will
now make way for newbie Sonia
Balani. Sonia is currently seen in
Suvreen Guggal " Topper of The
Yea r.
According to reports, Fenil has been
replaced as the makers felt that she
wouldn't look the part once it has
turned negative. Says the source,
"Sonia has started shooting and her
promo will soon hit the tube. This is
a big break for Sonia and she is
trying her best to impress the
viewers with her acting chops."
Incidentally, Akshita Kapoor was
almost finalised to replace Fenil but
we hear that the channel disapproved
of her.
Sonia confirmed the news, ""I will
give the character my 200 percent to
make it work for me."
