Katrina Kaif is the undisputed Number One actress amongst all of her contemporaries. In fact, her success percentage of 88% is unparalled even if we compare it with actresses from yesteryears like Hema Malini, Madhubala, Sri Devi, Madhuri Dixit, or Aishwariya Rai Bachchan. She is known as the lucky charm of Bollywood for a valid reason.
Other actresses like Sonakshi Sinha, Deepika Padukone and of course, Asin have done very well for themselves. Asin hasn't become as big a star as the others because her roles in her films haven't been meaty enough but a success percentage of 66.66% is well above par.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra maybe amongst the top actresses in the country but the box office performances of their films have been nothing sort of dismal. A success percentage of 28% is nothing to write home about. This proves their stardom has been largely independent of how their films have fared at the box office.
Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor haven't done many films but they are young and by the time they get to the end of their careers, their success percentage is sure to improve. Vidya Balan has gone against the tide with remarkable success considering the genres of films she dabbles in.
