Armaan Malik reacts to Nora Fatehi’s ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’, slams vulgar lyrics, wishes he could unhear it

The song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from the Kannada film KD: The Devil has sparked strong reactions online soon after its lyrical video release. The dance track features Nora Fatehi alongside Sanjay Dutt and quickly began trending on social media. While some viewers focused on the choreography and visual scale of the number, others raised concerns over the lyrics and the suggestive tone of the song.

Released on Sunday, the track shows Nora performing in a crowded dance bar setting with several background dancers. Earlier promotional clips had already created curiosity among fans, showing the actor in a ghaghra choli dancing before a cheering crowd. However, after the full lyrical video dropped, conversations online shifted sharply toward the wording of the song.

Many users criticised what they described as double meaning lines and explicit references in the lyrics. Several clips from the video circulated widely across platforms, drawing mixed reactions from viewers. Some praised the performance aspect of the song, but others questioned the need for such lyrics in contemporary film music.

The song is sung by Mangli, with lyrics written by Raqeeb Alam and music composed by Arjun Janya. Under the video’s comment section, viewers expressed their disapproval. One comment read, “Ashleelta (vulgarity) on the top.” Another wrote, “Wtf is this? It’s 2026, still this kind of song and action.” A separate comment stated, “The lyrics are so cheap and vulgar.” Some viewers even demanded that the song be removed from streaming platforms.

Singer Armaan Malik also shared his reaction on X after coming across the viral clip. He wrote, “This showed up on my timeline and I had to replay it just to make sure I heard it right. Sad to see commercial songwriting hit a new low..” In another post, he added, “I am genuinely at a loss of words. Wish I could unhear it.”

The video also features Sanjay Dutt prominently in the promotional thumbnails, which drew additional comments from fans. One user wrote, “Didn’t expect this from Sanjay Dutt after Dhurandhar.”

Directed by Prem and produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions, the film stars Dhruva Sarja in the lead role along with Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind and Reeshma Nanaiah. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 30, 2026.
