Actor Deepika Padukone recently caught attention online after new photos of her in a traditional Gujarati inspired outfit surfaced on social media. The images were shared by celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani on Instagram on March 16 and quickly circulated among fashion watchers and fans. The look was part of a wedding celebration appearance and highlighted regional textile influences.

In the pictures, Deepika is seen wearing a richly embroidered pink kurta that falls below the knees. The silhouette remains slightly flared and structured. The outfit features a high round neckline detailed with multicoloured thread embroidery inspired by traditional motifs. The yoke area forms a statement bib style design across the chest, filled with dense embroidery work. Toward the hemline, a broad embroidered border is visible, finished with small red tassels that add movement to the garment.

The actor paired the kurta with indigo straight cut pants. The pants carry embroidery and printed elements near the hem, creating contrast with the bright pink upper layer. The cuffs also feature intricate detailing which visually anchors the outfit. The combination of colours and craft elements gives the ensemble a clear Gujarati aesthetic.

Deepika completed the attire with a heavily embroidered dupatta decorated with mirror work and geometric borders. The fabric carries multicoloured motifs that echo the embroidery on the kurta. Instead of a structured drape, she placed the dupatta over one shoulder, allowing it to flow freely behind her. The styling created a dramatic visual effect in the photographs.

At a time when many public appearances lean toward minimal styling, this look reflected a more layered and decorative approach. The design references Gujarati and Rajasthani textile traditions while also drawing from older Indian embroidery practices often seen in court garments.

For jewellery, Deepika chose a gold choker set with coloured stones along with simple gold studs. The footwear consisted of embroidered golden juttis that matched the traditional theme.

Her hair was styled in a sleek centre parted low bun with a purple flower pinned at the back. The makeup remained soft with defined eyes and natural toned lips, allowing the outfit to remain the focal point.
