More than anandi, it is dadisa's refusal to stand up for ganga and go against sumitra that is responsible for the current state of affairs. The smart dadisa is so taken in by sanchi's acting. She could not distinguish between the sincerity of ganga and the fakeness of Sanchi. She supported sumitra mindlessly though she knew that she was wrong.

Now let dadisa deal with the fallout.

Running with the hares and hunting with the hounds. It will not pay in the long run.

I can understand anandi's dilemma and problems but dadisa has no such constraints. Her word is still the most respected one in haveli while anandi is only a bahu with all those constraints.

I can understand Jagya's confusion due to his past.

But dadisa's behaviour is strange to say the least.

Would dadisa have approved sanchi if she had known her real nature even for the sake of anandi's sasra? Has she become so stupid? I dont think so. So far dadisa did not find anything wrong with the oversweet sanchi and liked her also. Why to blame anandi again and again when the big one has failed so miserably even after watching Jagya's unhappiness from close quarters?

I was also thinking that. But may be DS now realizes that it is Sumitra who should take control.
She is trying to slowly give control to the next generation like a truly elderly person. Which is
Commendable. She is giving a chance to Sumi. If it gets out of hand she will intervene.

Giving responsibility at the wrong time. I think dadisa is enjoying the way sumitra is messing up.😆

Now sumitra will run to dadisa asking her advice and guidance.

Suppose Jagya did not go to Udaipur and all that listening has not happened. Then sanchi and Jagya's marriage would have taken place and dadisa would have to witness another mayhem, another divorce because she gave the responsibility to sumitra when sumi was at her hysterical best.

Now the problems will only multiply. The entire haveli have to apologise and fall at the feet of Ira and even then the relationship would sour for sometime. And sanchi will not go away in a hurry. Anandi and Shiv maybe prohibited from visiting haveli as a reprisal. Sumitra will have a mental breakdown.

I don't understand her reasons for silence.
On one hand she supports Jagya's growing attachment towards Ganga
On the other hand she tells Sanchi that she is looking forwards to have her with them
She supports Sumi's stand on Ganga.

If she wants to keep quite let other people make their own decisions and mistakes she should let them do so and keep herself out of it.

If she wants to wait and watch she should do that without endorsing anybody's stand.

Finally when she was unhappy with the wedding date she chose to speak with Anandi of all people. Why was she doing that?It was Irawathy who got the date fixed shouldn't she be talking about that to Ira?

Anandi is very inexperienced when compared to DS who sees everything and still sits there doing nothing.

Anandi's confusion is much more acceptable than Dadisa silence.

I have a different perspective here and I find DS commendable for balancing out her family.

Sumitra is her family and so is Jagya, but Ganga is not. The way the events unfolded, she chose to maintain peace in her family first over giving priority to a sheltered woman.

After RAT incident Ds could not deny the fact that there was lapse on her part for security, that Sumitra is not wrong if she no longer wants to put with G, that G also has her pride so leaving BH is a fair decision. So she did not blindly support Sumi, but she knew it is best interest for both Sumi & G. Ds also knows that J likes to help G, but she also knows that Sumi is not wrong if she expects J to spend some more time with Sa rather than G, so she can't find faults with Sumi there.

Ds likes G but not more than her own family's security, lives or personal lives. Hence she did not stop G from leaving BH nor has insisted that G should come back to Jaitser, but she is happy to support her financially through J and wishes well, so shows sympathy to G in whatever way she can (but she is not doing anything over & above for G).

Ds also knows that J finds solace in helping G, that's why she told Sumi, to give him time to forget G and asked Sumi not to tear G's pic. However, I don't think Ds realises that J loves G or that there is anything further between J-G besides give and take.

She likes Saanchi, and like others she has also been fooled by Sa, and belives that is her true nature. So why would she complain?

Why people have expectations from A to step up is because A knows a lot about the story, that DS does not.

A knows J-G love each other

A knew J found Sa a brat before engagement

A knew Sa's rude side

A knows about lapses made by Sa often in her pretence, but she neglected those, etc.

Ds does not know any of the above to take any call against Sa.

Ds is silent because according to her all are fine in their places: Sa, Sumi, Ganga, Jagya everyone.

One vital point. SS knows that J is miserable and is not happy. Dadisa could have talked to him and told him sach sach bata. Jagya would have told her something. Dadisa is royally ignoring Jagya.

@Charul - yes I would also expect Ds to support J in his decision to break off with Sa, after finding out the truth. Even then if she talked about Anandi's happiness or sasra, I would not favour her. She owes that much to J for his happiness too.

Furthermore, if J told that he likes and wants to marry G, I would want Ds to support that and also to handle Sumitra. I don't want her to dictate to Sumi, but I surely want her to make Sumi understand from a different point of view and get her accept Ganga willingly rather than forcefully.

Sumi will surely blame G for this break-up but I want all Singhs together to make Sumi understand, and not allieniate her or give her puffed looks. I liked the way Gehna handled Sumi recently when Sumi thought all Singhs like G over her (sumi).
