HISTORY

The 2012 Delhi gang rape case involves a rape and murder that occurred on 16 December 2012 , a neighbourhood located in the southern part of New Delhi, when a 23-year-old female was beaten and gang raped in a bus in which she was travelling with her male companion. There were six others in the bus, including the driver, all of whom raped the woman. The woman died from her injuries thirteen days later while undergoing emergency treatment in Singapore. The incident generated widespread national and international coverage and was condemned by various women's groups, both in India and abroad. Subsequently, public protests against the goverment of india and the GOI for not providing adequate security for women took place in New Delhi, where thousands of protesters clashed with security forces. Similar protests took place in major cities throughout the country.

I am amazed that even after many year of indepence why till now woman are treated as a part of game. They are supposed to cry and do house hold where whole world can be run by single woman why still these rape and all things are showing that womans position is critical!!!

We have to wear full dresses; not to be out of home after 8; cant go with anyone unknown nothing is safe ... each and every mom before sending her daughter to school and collage ask her to be safe to not to talk anyone chahhh even after many days of independence we are still there

Tomorrow

Is the day of decision we need justice for damini. We need something justice type not the mere prison that creates a history it should be a historical faisla who makes each and every such criminal minded people a sense of fear

Yes, you need to tell your kids..that respect every individual..but i doubt the problem lies in family..its more of what the SOCIETY is willing to tell its inhabitants...abt its patriarchal nature..

First of all dont talk about DPS as I myself am from DPS RK PURAM where this all happened. you need to understand there is difference between being Financial stable home and a healthy home.

Student studing in prestigious school does not indicate they have a sound enviornment at home. I can tell you loads of such cases from my own school.

I disagree it is more of family problem as after all we all comprise the society, if we will respect women and give them equal rights at home then the change will happen in society. Patriacal nature starts at home as no rights are given to daughter and daughter in law in family property.
