What made SDR work and Lootera flop? - Page 3

I didnt like either film that much TBH ...
And me not liking lootera much had nothing to do with it coming under the artsy category or whatever... I went to watch with ... well.. my mind made up to actually love the film... since I loved Motwane's Udaan ... and I expected to love Lootera too.. but it didnt touch me or engage me as much as I expected it to...
Having said that.. I didnt think it was a bad film or anything .. wish it had gotten a hit tag atleast ..

About SDR.. lol.. I was so irritated with what was happening in the second half of the film... that I just felt like pushing all the characters (except Rishi ji's) off the cliff...
Yes yes.. I know.. the repetitiveness of the second half and the permanently confused characters was deliberate on Jaideep Sahni's part ... but it just didnt work for me *shrugs*

One thing I had no complaints about in either film were the performances of the leads .. Ranveer , Sonakshi, SSR, Pari , Vaani .. all were really good...

Lootera was a flop because of Balaji nonsense, they have no quality in promotions. Not a single trailer was out of the film and the songs have been promoted like a blunder of nonsense.

SDR worked also due to promotions and the buzz of the highest kissing scenes also worked for it.

SDR is all for the youth n Lootera is too boring concept is great but its too slow..
