I am also in a similar situation as Mamta. Want to tell about myself but am too busy at a client site for 3 weeks. I am in fact out of the country. I get a few minutes of free time here and there. I just skim thro' IF messages if possible. Will contribute to the scrapbook when I get back from this assignment.

It is really nice to see about all my favourite contestants. I too want to take some time and introduce myself. But it is getting tough for me to take such time. Even I thought to give Tanaz my final version for the next round as I am not satisfied with the song which I presented as a trial but didnt make till now. I would love to sing, but don't know about dancing etc that seems to be a requirement in reality shows these days. If you get selected for C-2007 Will you drop IF SRGM - No!

• Are you a trained singer - Yes , but it's been a while. would love to continue though.
• Who is your Singing Inspiration- never really thought about this, but in school-college days, I was inspired by my older sister.

• Favorite Music Director- again, can't give just 1 name. from old times, Madan Mohan, S.D.Burman, R.D.Burman. recent times, A.R.Rahman, Jatin-Lalit, Ismail Darbar

• What are your views about your Mentor - I have never contacted Appaji, original mentor. Bhaskar has been very helpful from the beginning. I really appreciate the time he spends on responding to our queries, giving suggestions on songs.
• What are your views about other Mentors – They all seem to be very nice & helpful. I have always seen all the mentors appreciating songs from other gharana's participants. maybe we need to re-post this question towards end of the contest and see if the answers still remain the same (just joking on the last part)
• If you were given a chance to choose your Gharana which one would it be- I am pretty much satisfied with my current gharana.
• Who is your favorite Contestant (except yourself) – Hard to choose just one. I like Aparna ,Sunitha & Vidya(tina59) among girls. Ashish & Raju in guys.
• Your Goal in Life – Want to be a successful mother , keeping everyone at home happy & healthy (no, I am not a doctor ) At some point in life, want to own a business, run it successfully and get out of the corporate life.
• Given a chance will you participate in Zee SRGM C-2007 - Sure, only thing is whoever gave me a chance to participate would regret later like anything
• If you get selected for C-2007 Will you drop IF SRGM – certainly not, IF SRGMP is where I started participating in a singing contest after a long long time (last was when in college) and getting feedback from others helps a lot in knowing your flaws as well as strengths. Also, the whole preparation,recording is a fun process.
• Give a brief Introduction of yourself - I am born and brough up in Mumbai. Spent couple years in Pune before coming to USA. Now in Cincinnati, OHIO for last 5 years. Married for last 16 years and have 2 kids. Son is 15 years old (a typical teenager) and daughter 10 years. I have one sister (in India). Music is one thing which makes me forget all worries in life. You guessed it right, I worry over small small things and make my life miserable at times. Always ready to go out of the way and help people in every possible way. One thing I hate the most is hypocrisy. 😡
