The feisty Parineeti Chopra is never known to mince words when it comes to expressing her opinion. Just like her on-screen performances which are so full of life, her candour off screen too is extremely refreshing. Only a couple of films old, this young actress addressed a class of management graduates at Welingkar today, where she displayed the flair of a versatile lecturer when answering questions varying from love, live-in and sex as well.
The topic for the day was Shuddh Desi India Ki Soch, and the basis for the entire discussion was based on a survey conducted by Yashraj movies to understand how today's youth deal with dating, live-in relationships, marriage, career choices. This research ultimately played a major role in building the plot for Shuddh Desi Romance.
Launching in to fierce debate with the young business minds of tomorrow, Parineeti expressed it's the restricted, hypocritical and conservative attitude in the context of dating and live-in is what makes India still backward. When quizzed on her views about live-in, Parineeti said it's a matter of perception. "If a girl is meeting a guy for dinner, her parents would be unhappy about it but if it's lunch then they think she is safe. How will they ever know what she is actually doing at lunch?" expressed Parineeti.
After live-in the next obvious topic that was buzzing on everyone's lips was sex. And having seen her uninhibited kissing and love-making scenes with Arjun Kapoor in Ishqzaade, we were eager to know if she would ever kiss her man in public. "I really don't understand why we make a big deal about kissing or even sex. Whether I choose to talk about it or not is absolutely my prerogative. And to answer your question about public display of affection, I think if you are in love, it's absolutely cool to hold hands, hug or for that matter even kiss in public. And always remember, in any hug or kiss, there are two people involved and not just the girl," thundered Parineeti eliciting a rapturous applause from the audience.
Well, we like the way you wear your heart on your sleeve girl. Wish your other Bollywood counterparts were asShuddh and Desi as you are in matters of romance.
