Fabulous analysis and excellent points redwine 👏, but let me try a different angle and please, this is not to contradict what you said, but to present things differently ……… bhai, my analysis will be very simple, I'm no eloquent ruby 😊

Mami: one small question…….. is it easier for a young sapling to bend or an old tree? Young sapling any day. In our case it's mami the young one and nani the old tree. Mami should have learnt to bend herself a bit and adapt herself to in-laws place no matter what she was before…….. instead of trying to change, what we saw throughout was a woman who's stuck in her inferiority complex…….. can we help people who only complain and don't want to be helped? This is why they say God Helps Those Who Help Themselves…….. frankly speaking all they showed us is a person who was always putting down others including the old Rahim chacha, talked of status this and that……. Your complexes do not give you the authority to hurt other people, if you are stuck with it, ti's your own problem and those who don't wish to get help, cannot be helped, this is what I see in mami. BTW, did we ever get the impression that she was unable to take care of herself, oh paap bechari? NEVER so, if she truly wanted to be nice, she could have done so, but it was her choice to make herself a victim…..so this is no lame innocent person

now, let's look at La and Mami…. at one point they were sort of sailing in the same boat……… while mami knew about indian traditions and those followed in RM, SHE CHOSE NOT TO FOLLOW THEM PROPERLY, you see, it was her choice, whether out of defiance or not, is not in question here………..looking at La, she was completely clueless about traditions and was rigid in her stance initially, but she did change and decided to follow things and understood that, yes, while we don't have to like everything that's done at home, we sometimes give in, out of respect for elders and there's happiness in that giving………. This is where mami lost out big time, because she stuck to her own world and there was no change in her attitude or behaviour at all……… while La had a change of heart and in the process of changing, she never lost her individuality, she still did things that she used to before coming to RM and also managed to endear herself to others….that's why she became the favourite of all. IMO, La's one of the best designed characters ever in a TV show.

Let's come to mami and asr……..No matter what, ASR is still younger to mami and why would he reprimand her for saying things to Khushi before they got marrried? It's the job of the elders of the house to do so……….. let's come to the day after the forced marriage ………….a husband and wife can say things to each other, but when a third person says something about either one of them, isn't it common for the couple to react? This is what I've seen in the normal world, whereas when mami insulted Khushi after marriage, ASR still kept quiet , now was the time for him to have spoken up, because, she is his wife whether he likes it or not, Khushi is no longer an outsider, right?

Let's come to Payal and Khushi relationship. Though they were shown as being extremely close to each other initially, they sort of drew apart a little bit later; if you think Khushi hid things from Payal, consider Akash courting Payal ….. was Khushi aware of this and did Payal utter a single word about this? So, the moment it came to the men in their lives and change of feelings, these two young ladies hid things from each other.

Now let's come to Payal. She always showed a much more mature attitude and seemed to understand things better than her sister. On one hand, Khushi is talking of how ASR insulted her repeatedly, but later, she also shared about how she was even having dreams about him and openly kept saying inko sugar mana hain and trying to care for him unconsciously, the way she stopped Payal from openly letting out how ASR ruined her life, the way she was constantly talking of him, with all this you mean to say Payal never got any hint that something fishy is going on here? Hmmm, well, in her place, I would……. The sparks that flew each time they met, the undercurrents, everything is an indicator, which Payal didn't pay attention to. I ask you, did Khushi have to tell Payal that she has feelings for ASR? That would be a big NO NO. As far as the matters of the heart are concerned, neither ASR nor Khushi ever shared anything with anybody. It's only much later that people realized these two cannot live without each other. If you are sensitive enough, yes, it's easy to see the changes in your loved one.

True, Khushi was not the victim, but it was Anjali. However, it was quirk of fate that revealed to her Shyam's true colors on time, or else she would have been the true victim. She definitely wasn't the heroine at that time, she was truly someone who was saved by the bell so to speak and NO, it wasn't done by ASR either, but by DM. Agreed that what she chose to do later is what truly made her the heroine, she cried at her fate initially, but decided to get out of it and took action.

Coming to whether Khushi was responsible for breaking Payal's wedding, it was very clear that she jumps before she thinks. But still, her actions weren't the only ones which led to the marriage being cancelled. Okay, she made a mistake and took wrong action, but if ASR didn't hold her back, she could have gotten back on time and perhaps the marriage would have taken place? So, is it completely Khushi's fault? Also, another question is, is Payal herself blameless? I don't think so.

Hmmm, I think Shyam and Arnav tried their best to make Khushi's life miserable, each in his own way, but she emerges the victor.
