It's true that even an educated girl at time cannot take a stance against domestic violence but I think nayi soch wud be that she doesn't suffer n think that cos she is married there isn't a way out. Divorce is possible n the whole samaaj kya sochegi n balidaan for parents happiness(which if they found out what she is going thru wudnt be happy anyway) it's not what a strong headed today's girl wud tolerate.

I surely hope SLB keeps to the nayi soch motto!

Second you KK84... Its not about what exists in our society today...we all know it does...educated..uneducated...rural..urban..India.. even within Indians living abroad...whats important is... how people like SLB can use the media to at least evoke some awareness ...through his story..within the masses who watch daily soap...how to come out of domestic abuse...
The confidence in a person..comes through education and knowledge...not as an inborn trait..as in Saraswatichandra..Kumud is projected as educated..confident..standing by the right..hence our expectations by the serial maker to keep Kumud in character..

Agree. The story should have been set in the past.

The apple of the Desai's eye (literallye everyone's) has no reason to suffer abuse now that it's become physical. I wish she had questioned atleast her mom-in-law about cheating on the Desai's.

And Saras for heaven's sake STOP CRYING!!!!!
