Ramaiya Vastavaiya like D Day also could not make much impact at the box office with collections around 20 crore nett in week one. It was slightly better than D day but also has higher costs than that film.

The film managed average collections in pockets like Bihar, CP Berar, CI and Rajasthan but other circuits fared poorly. The collections in Delhi city and East Punjab were very bad.

The film is dependent on single screens from week two onwards as multiplexes have not performed but its a huge ask for single screens to take it to the safety mark because single screens have performed better in week one but are niot exceptional.
