I am loving all the "good" spoilers and behind the scenes segments over the last week but I noticed something and wanted to know if anyone else picked up on it too and if they knew why.
Sooo ... I have noticed that Karan is always referred to as "Karan" but Surbhi is always addressed as "Zoya" ... what's up with that?

Sometimes they refer Karan also as "Asad" but you are right many times its Karan and its always Zoya.. I think Karan is in this industry since long and many ppl on sets might know him before QH so they are used to Karan but Surbhi is new and they know her only from QH so she is always Zoya, its just my guess

I think because Karan is not like Asad while Surbhi is very similar to Zoya!

I noticed it...I think its because Surbhi is like Zoya herself so maybe thats why. Even Gul calls her Zoya.

I think its BECAUSE SURBHI IS VERY MUCH LIKE ZOYA in real life SO THE TEAM DONT MAKE DIFFERENCE THEY CALL HER ZOYA.

Karan is not like Asad so the difference is much more visible. They cant call him Asad.

I guess ... it's just that we are almost a year into the show and she has paid her dues and is definitely a huge success. I love Karan and I know he's been around longer but I feel she should be addressed as Surbhi too IMO.

It doesnt look like being called Zoya bothers her though.

I don't think that should be a problem off the sets. Her personality is similar to Zoya, hence they call her Zoya. They are all friends and they can call her by whatever name they feel like. That doesn't make a difference as long as they call her by her real name where needed for example: whenever they release article they call her Surbhi Jyoti.

I guess ... I mean she is so authentic in her portrayal that she makes it look effortless. I have rarely seen someone cry the way she can ... understated and not OTT and that chin quiver just gets me every time!
