| Actress Juhi Parmar will be the host of Star One's new show, Antakshari, with Annu Kapoor. After a month-long search, the channel has zeroed in on the actress, because of her popularity.
Shailja Kejriwal, senior creative director of Star said, "We have selected Juhi because she sings well and has a good knowledge of Hindi movies. She is very popular with young girls and housewives. At the same time, she is chirpy and vivacious — the qualities necessary for being an anchor. I think she will be an asset to the show."
When contacted, Juhi said, "I am really happy that I have got something different to do apart from Kumkum and I was more than happy to accept the offer. Now, audiences will be able to see the musical side of me. And with Annu Kapoor as my co-host, I will be enjoying myself to the tee."
Adding further she said, "Well, I am not a trained singer, but I certainly have an ear for music. I am sure people are going to love me in my new avatar."

Juhi apparently is not intimidated by her co-host Annu Kapoor, who reportedly was in news for his habit of overshadowing his female counterparts. Juhi said, "Annuji has been a veteran in this field and it's a challenge for me to be at par with him in the show. But, I don't believe in rumours and I am sure he will be a good co-star to get along with. I want to go there with an open mind and I am sure that I will do a good job." |
