Wonderful post, Di!
Kinda late, but I just watched the episode.
Perhaps, a lot of us, wanted or hoped 'the wall scene' to be another Mangalpur scene, but it turned out to be not. In fact, it was a disappointment for those who had expected much more and maybe better. However, like you said, perhaps it was not meant to be another Mangalpur 2. I agree to that.
The Mangalpur episode is probably one of the most important for QH. That time, the scene, was very much needed. The scene was a turning point into Asad's life to let him know and understand about his feelings for Zoya. From that moment, he started to realize that Zoya does matter to him. Perhaps, he did not know that he was in love but yes she was important for him and he cared for her.
Yesterday's episode, the wall scene, was indeed more to show that no matter what Asad will always be there for Zoya. This scene was meant to show he still cares for her, in fact loves her even when he thinks that he as wronged her. Asad Zoya ke liye jeeta hai and that will always be so. Their bond is truly unbreakable (very well chosen topic name). 👍🏼
I have always loved Dilshaad ammi. She is not the typical mom we get to see in every Indian serial. She has seen her son suffer for the past one month and yes, of course, it hurts her as well. Koi bhi maa apne bache ka gham nahin dekh sakti hai. Suppose if she was a 'typical mom' she would have consoled her son or at least attempted several times to reduce his pain. But, because she is so different from other moms, she just lets her son to sort out things on his own. She is not interfering in his pain deliberately in order to let him understand the pain and make him even more stronger.
Yeah Tanveer na...now she is getting on my nerves. I am sure she will be punished for every sin but I just hope it happens soon.
I understand that Asad and Zoya has to go through this painful phase in their life, but honestly speaking I am missing those little nok-jhok's, Zoya's shayar's, Asad's irritation.
Note to myself: Patience my dear...patience...
