She was going on chanting prayers when she heard a familiar voice from the other side.

"Nupur.."

Hearing a familiar voice she replied.

"Wh--who is it?"

"Mayank.."

Hearing his name she heaved a sigh of relief and then thanked God and slowly opened the door.

But after opening the door she realized that Mayank was here without any notice and that too from the balcony so she immediately asked

"Mayank what are you doing over here?"

"Dancing."

Saying it he entered the room and continued

"Electricity bacha rahi ho kya.?"

"Huh?"

"Nai lights aur fans ban kar rakhe hai."

"Uff current nai hai."

She said while moving inwards.

"To candles to jala sakti ho na ki darr ke mare age hi nai badhi?"

He said while grinning.

Nupur just raised her brows and gave a disgusted look and said

"Mayank tum kyu aye ho yaha wo bhi is waqt aur wo bhi balcony se?"

"Tumse milne ka mann kar rha tha."

"Achanak aise vichar kyu?"

"Ye vichar to hamesha se the."

He said while winking and bending towards her to make her blush.

He somewhere liked when she blushed and found her really cute then .

"Pagol chelle."

Saying this she turned around to get the candles.

" What?"

Mayank immediately asked as he was confused about what she just said to him.

Nupur laughed and replied

"I called you a mad guy."

"but what language was that?"

"Bengali."

"Where did u learn that?"

"Mr.Sharma I am from Bengal so I am ought to know Bengali."

"Yea of course ."

"Mayank you just take a seat I'll be back in a few minutes."

Nupur bought the candles from the kitchen along with soft drinks for them .

Giving it to Mayank she once again asked him

"Mayank kisi kam se aye ho?"

"Hmm.."

Before he could add more the knob of the main door opened and a voice was heard

"Nupur beta tum theek to ho na?"

Nupur realised that her

parents were back and Mayank had come when Nupur was all alone at home and they could mistake it.

"Mayank tum wapas jao."

She immediately said while frowning and panicking.

"But Nupur.."

"No if no but only shut. Mayank go."

"Par kaise."

Mayank asked furiously.

"Jaise aye the aur kaise."

"Main mar jaunga Nupur ye second floor hai tum janti ho na?"

"Han janti hoon .Mayank seriously tum kuch karo maa and dad are back and you can't be here."

Saying this she dragged an unwilling Mayank who was worried about his life. He had got up through the pipe but wasnt sure about sliding back.

"Nupur tum sure ho?"

Nupur glared at him while Mayank gulped a lump down his throat.

"Nupur mere liye dua karna main itni jaldi nahi marna chahta."

saying this he joined his hands and moved to the shelter placed above the window of the second floor.

Nupur who was watching with tension of him and being caught.

"Nupur beta kahan ho tum?"

Nupur had heard her mother's voice and so immediately moved out of the room so that her mom couldn't get into her room.

"Haan mom."

"Nupur itna sweat kyu kar rahi ho kuch hua hai kya?"

Nupur rolled her eyes to get answer and then immediately replied

"Mom wo line bohot dair se nahi hai na to .."

"Haan par tum itni khabrai hui kyu ho.Koi baat hai?"

"Wo mom main darr gayi thi ."

Nupur could manage only this from her mouth on which her mother laughed whole heartedly.

Nupur's family comprised of very light minded people who loved each other a lot and always found happiness in the smallest of things. Both the girls were given all the freedom and rights. Nupur loved her parents and this was the first time she lied to her mother which really made her feel guilty.

"Haan toh chalo tumhare room ke balcony me waha bohot thandi hawa ati hai chalo wahi baithte hai."

"Nai"

Nupur shouted in an unusual manner.

"Huh?"

"Mera matlab hai mom aj zara bhi hawa nahi aarhi main wahi thi par dekhiye phir bhi sweat kar rahi hoon."

Nupur said while showing her forehead while Mayank on the other hand was trapped and he couldn't think of anything.

"Hey Bhagwan aaj bacha le main tujhse bohot pyaar karta hoon par itni jaldi nai ana chahta tumhare pas aur fir mujhe to ye bhi nahi pata ki dusra janam hota hai bhi ya nahi aur agar hota bhi hai to kya gurantee ki tu mujhe itna hi handsome banayega . Please bacha le mujhe."

He said while getting scared.

"Nupur beta tum chalogi mere sath?"

"Haan."

Nupur said while getting scared and silently prayed that Mayank wasnt there.

Just when Nupur's mom was going to open the door of the balcony the electricity came back and Nupur's dad called for Nupur's mom.

"Nupur main ati hoon."

Nupur heaved a sigh of relief and quickly checked if anyone was coming and moved towards the balcony to check for him.

"Mayank tum abhi tak yahi ho?"

She said scaring him.

"Abhi tak toh yahin hoon magar bohot jaldi upar jana wala hoon."

"Nahi nahi fir upar mat ana."

"Upar se mera matlab tha seedhe upar yani Bhagwan ke pas "

He said while shouting.

"Shh..dhere bolo Mayank please."

"Nupur kuch karo."

"Main kya?Acha ruko."

"Ab kahan ja rahi ho."

Nupur moved inside and bought a long rope which was purposely tangled at regular intervals.

"Ye lo."

"Main koi moghli ya Tarzan nahi jo isse lekar apne ghar direct pohnch jaunga."

"Suno to."

"Sunaiye."

"Isse main yaha railing par bandh deti hoon tum pipe pakar kar aur ispe ek paon rakh kar dhere dhere utar jao. "

"Not a bad idea."

Just as Nupur told him he slowly yet steadily moved down and landed safely on the ground.

Finally on touching the ground he heaved a sigh of relief and said

"Shukria Bhagwan"

saying this he waved at her and moved towards the place where his bike was kept.

Nupur was watching him when Gunjan arrived

"Kya kar rahi ho di?"

"Kuch nahi."

"Di mujhe tumse kuch baat karni hai."

"Kya baat?"

Nupur got a bit scared but dint show it.

"Acha Gunjan abhi rehne de mujhe na bohot neend arahi hai main kal subah

baat karti hoon tumse"

"But di.."

"Please Gunjan I am very tired."

Nupur said while cutting Nupur was actually very tired but was scared too so she told Gunjan that she wanted to sleep.

Days were passing and it was just two days from the fresher's party. All were very busy. Busy preparing charts ,dancing singing and doing all they could to make the show really happening.

In the span of time some strange things were happening with Nupur.

Once a car almost flew her from her but she was rescued by Mayank. Nupur was actually walking on the road with headphones plugged in her ears. And surprisingly the car was not even blowing the horn and when it was just about to strike her Mayank drew her and fell on the ground.

In the meantime Nupur had started enjoying his company she just couldn't help but smile after looking at him.

Nupur entered the college casually with a banana in her hand have eaten and half about to be eaten.

Finishing her banana she unknowingly threw it on the floor.

Rhea who was coming from the other side while talking on the phone stepped on the and had a terrible fall.

Everyone panicked and specially Nupur .Mayank who was standing nearby immediately picked her up and took her to the medical room of the college while Rhea was groaning in pain.

Nupur followed them.

"Rhea yeh kaise hua?"

Mayank asked after keeping her on the bed and while slowly caressing her leg.

Before Rhea could say anything Sonia interrupted in between.

"Mayank ye sab is Nupur ne jaan bujh ke kiya hai maine ise bananas khate hue dekhe the."

"Par main aisa kyu karungi?"

Nupur immediately defended herself.

"Kyu ki.."

Sonia was about to say something but stopped realising that it wasn't the correct time for all of it.

"Kyu ki kya Sonia?"

Mayank asked in irritation.

Just the drop the topic Rhea started screaming in pain.

"Mayank please do something. Call dad I want to go home."

"Rhea you are hurt it means you will not perform."

Ms.Aaha came from behind.

Rhea took just a second to understand the consequences of this fall.

"No mam i'll be alright till then."

"Rhea you know it very well that you had a very misfortunate fall and surely it will not heal in a day and you were supposed to do the final performance. The schedule can't change now I'll have to talk to Principal about it."

"About.."

"About Nupur performing instead of you."

"But mam.."

"leave it to me I know it will be against the rules but we cant bear this kind of a loss.You take care of your self and get well soon."

Saying it Ms.Aaha stepped out of the room where Rhea was being applied some ointment.

Soon Ms.Aaha made it known that it was Mayank and Nupur who were going to perform even if it was against the rules.

Rhea was sent off to home while Mayank and Nupur started with their practice.

"Mayank I am really worried kahin kuch zada chot toh nahi ayi hogi na? Par sach me Mayank maine jaan bujh ke wo banana peel waha nahi pheka tha."

Nupur said while looking all worried and with a lot of innocence.

"Nupur I know it tum tension mat lo kuch nahi hoga zara si moch hogi aur wo theek ho jayegi tum ghabrao mat aur yaad rakho tumhari koi bhi galti nahi hai."

Mayank said while assuring her and kept his hand on hers to make her feel comforted.

Though Mayank was himself very worried he showed no distress to Nupur as she would regard herself the culprit.

Meanwhile Nupur exactly knew what he was going through he looked completely worried as he dint behave like the usual Mayank. Rhea was his best friend so he was surely worried.

Today Mayank and Nupur had to do a lot as a lot of burden was on their shoulder. It was quite late and Nupur seemed worried.

"Nupur main tumhe chor deta hoon ."

"Nahi Mayank main rickshaw le lungi."

"Nahi chalo kafi dair ho gayi hai aur main wahi se jaa raha hoon Rhea se mil lunga aur tumhe drop bhi kar dunga."

"Ok.Acha Mayank."

"Hmm..bolo."

"Tum kal. ghar kyu aye the?"

Nupur softly asked.

"Kyu ki mera mann kar raha tha isliye aur tumhari payal mere pas chut gayi t

Thi."

"Oh wo tumhare pas chuti thi acha to de do."

"Nahi abhi nahi hai mere pas main kal la dunga .

"Ok."
