Shruti was there because she was the lead heroine opposite Dhanush in the movie "3" which the song "Kolaveri Di" was created for.

And yup we knew he is Rajnikanth's son in law but, he is popular in the south because he is a great actor himself. Aishwariya was there because it was directed by her.

Yeah there were rumours of Dhanush and Aishwarya's link up. They asked him about his link up with Shruti Hassan right infront of his wife in a stage show infront of so many of his fans (not even media people as it was a show for a regional TV). Their reactions were quite funny. Shruti Hassan was in a live-in relationship with actor Siddharth around that time.
