Day 3- For Baking
Next day morning:
taani' POV:
It was 5 am of early morning. I was sleeping peacefully when i heard
"beep...beep...beep beep..."
yes my phone rang and i cursed the caller. Of course i know he is rey...i cut the call bcoz i was too sleepy.
"why he is calling this early morning...idiot..."i thought and again sleep...
"beep..beep..."
again my phone start ringing...i was damn angry...i sat on my bed and pick his call ...
"why r u disturbing me this early morning??dont u like to sleep??..."i hissed...but no responce from other side ..."now why r u silent??"i ask and after hearing his answer i was rolling on bed laughing...he asked..."how to make coffee???"...omg...he didnt know how to make coffee.
"now stop laughing and tell me taani"said rey...
"ok ok...i will"i said and told him how to make coffee...
"but rey tell me one thing u dont know to make coffee...its so simple..."i said
"i know it...i know cooking...i ask u because i didnt have any reason to talk with u...so i ask this and see u r sounding so happy..."he replied...and i stop laughing..."wh...why u wa...want to talk with m...me??" i ask stammering...
"dont know...but i want to talk with u...u know i cant sleep ...ur scary face were coming in my dreams..."he giggle..
"you..."i said but he cut me in between..."i know m the most handsome..."he replied...
"what...thats the biggest joke..."i replie...suddenly i heard some voice from the kitchen..."who is there in the kitchen so early???"i said..
"may be caretakers...for making all's breakfast..."rey said...
"oh ya...let me check"i said and peep out from my room...
"its dark here..."i said...
"taani walk carefully..."he said...

rey's POV:
I was standing near my window feeling the cool breez on my face. The cool breez was playing with my hairs. I was standing there and was talking with taani.
"walk carefully taani" i said as she told me that there was dark.
"are dishu...what are u doing here in the kitchen??"said taani...may be disha was there in the kitchen.
"taani i want to eat chocolate cookies but she dudnt know how to bake coockies." said disha in her malodious voice...i heard it from the phone...
"taani...taani..."i said ..
"ha rey..."said taani
"dishu is there???i want to talk with her.."i said and taani give the phone to disha...before she talk with me taani said"dishu dont worry ...i will make chocolate cookies...ok???"
"ok..."said disha and then talk with me while taani was making chocolate cookies...
"hi sweet heart"i said...
"hi rey...how r u??"ask disha ...
"m fine sweet heart...so tell me taani is making cookies for u???"
"yes rey...wait i will on the speaker"said disha
"so taani u like backing??"i ask
"i love it rey...i am baking after 10 years but i m so excited...u know my mom teach me how to bak...so i know only baking and coffee...other dishes i dont know how to make..."said taani and i smirk bcoz now i came to know the third reason..."baking"
"u know what rey when someone praise u and ur cookies it felt so much happy..."said taani
"ya ya...taani seems so happy while baking"said disha with giggles...
"ok sweet heart and taani..bbye...will come to pick u both at 7:30 ..ok???"
"ok .."said both and i hung up...
"lalala la la...he he he he..."i was humming a song...
"rey r u awake at this early morning??"i heard my mom asking this...
"wo..vo...mom...i was just wake up to drink water..."i said
"ok...go to sleep beta than u have to go to school na????"ask my mom
"oh yes mumma..."i said and jump in my bed ..."so miss. Taani love to bak...not bad rey ...after each day u come to know more interesting things about taani..." i thought and close my eyes...again her smilling face came in front of my eyes..."oh god...whats happening??? why her face is coming in front of me??"i thought..."first time some girl is driving me crazy...does this mean i m falling for her??"again i thought...
"what...what rubbish r u thinking rey...she is your friend...yes she is your friend..."i thought and stand up on my bed ..."she is your friend...yes rey she is your friend...nothing else"...i kept saying this and start passing here from there and there from here ...
"rey beta...wake up its 6:30 now..."i heard my mom
"yes mom...i will be get fresh...u ready the breakfast..."i said and rushed in the washroom...
I stand under the shower...feeling the cold water on my body...i was still thinking about taani...dont know why but she is not getting out of my thoughts...i came out wraping the towel around my waist and stand against the mirror...suddenly i saw taani in my mirror...i rub my eyes and again watch in the mirror...she was still there smilling...i ignor her and start to choose the shirt...our school is like junior college for 11th and 12th standard. we can wear what ever we want...i take out a gray shirt from the cupboard and put it against my chest..."this will be nice" i thought but i saw taani was nodding in no and her thumb showing down...i ask her nodding my head"no???"...she nod in yes...
I take out a black tshirt and again put it against my chest and ask taani with questioning look on my face...she again nod in no...i become sad and now i take out a white shirt from the cupboard and now i didnt ask her anything just stood holding the shirt...i saw her through the mirror...she was smilling with a thumbs up...i smilled widely and turn to see her but when i turn no one was there..."what the hell is happening??"i hissed and wear the shirt...and left for the orphanage with my car.
end of rey's POV:
*at orphanage*
Taani was sitting on the dinning table adoring disha who was eating chocolate cookies.
"ummm...taani u r the best...cookies are so delicious"said disha
"thank u honey..."said taani...
"oh so someone is enjoying cookies..."they heard a voice and look at that..
"grany"both said at unison...
"everyday u went to mandir this time...why r u here today??"ask taani
"just a bit late taani...now going to mandir..."said grany and left for mandir.
And we heard the horn ...
"rey..."said disha and ran to open the door...
"hi sweet heart..."said rey and enter in the orphanage...
As he enter taani saw him and whistled..."wooo...some one is looking so handsome..."said taani.
"oh...before two hour it was a biggest joke i think..."said rey
"oh...that was a joke...but seriously u look handsome..."said taani..
"i m handsome...thank god finally u believe"said rey
"wow cookies...sweet heart eat carefully...taani made it so possible it is hard as stone...said rey and taani hit him lightly...
"try it...its yummy..."said disha...
"oh...let me try...yes its delicious..."said rey
"thanks"said taani ...
"take ur thanks back...i font take thanks for friends huh..."said rey and made an angry cute face...
"ok...thank u taken back..."said taani...
"ok lets go ...time to go for school..."said rey and three of them leave...
"rey..."said taani...rey was driving..
"hmmm..."said rey...
"u r looking nice in this shirt..."said taani
"oh...afterall u choose it..."said rey but then he bit his tounge..
"what??"ask taani
"ummm...i mean i look nice in every shirt"said rey...
Soon they reach ...and attend their classes...
Taarey sat together but today was somethig different...all rey could do is staring taani...she was looking simply adorable and beautiful.
"rey stand up..."hissed the professor bcoz rey was staring taani..
Rey immidgetly stand up."yes sir"
"get out...get out right now and sat on your knees outside..."said the professor.
"but sir..."...the professor cut him "just go..."rey standup and went outside...he sat on his knees...
"oh god...whts happening today..."thought rey...
Soon the class ended and taarey went in canteen...
"rey what were u doing??why he scold u??"ask taani
"i was just staring at u..."rey's tounge slipped...
"what...??"ask taani
"i ...i..mean i was staring outside the window..."said rey
"ok..."said taani and start to drink her coffee...
When she finish one sip...rey look at her and laugh...
"why r u laughing??"ask taani
"ummm...one minute..."he took out his phone and click her picture and show her..."see your lips were coverd with coffee...he said and he himself clean it...
Taani felt like a current ran down from her spine...she look in his eyes and both lost in each others eyes...
"taani..."soon they heard disha and both came out of their dreamland...
"yes honey..."said taani..
"u know what today our school is going to watch a movie...r u going??"ask disha...
"no...we r not..."said rey because he has some other plans...
"why not??"ask taani
"ummm...i have other interesting thing...i m sure u will also enjoy..."said rey..
"ok...so lets go at orphanage..."said taani..
"sweetheart u r also coming ok??"ask rey...
"ok rey.."said disha...
*After two hours*
taani's POV:
Rey rang by the orphanage late in the afternoon at 5 pm after school ended. Grany open the door but didnt allow him to come in. He ask to call me.
"Do you know this boy?"Grany asked me after calling me down from my room. She tried her best to hide the shocked tone in her voice, since I never, ever get any visitors.
My eyes locked with rey's, as he gave me a small smile.
"We go to school together."said rey
"Oh." grany smiled back at rey.
"It's nice to see you with a friend, taani."I licked my lips.
"We aren't necessarily-"
"If you don't mind, Grany" rey shot her a sweet smile, "I'd like to take taani and disha out for an hour or two?"
Grany nodded, patting me on the back. I groaned, rolling my eyes as she gave me a small shove towards rey. "Take her out as long as you want. Taani barely ever leaves the orphanage, except when she goes to school."
Rey grinned. "I'll take good care of her.can u plz call disha??"
"oh sure...disha..."grany called disha and she came...
"rey...u here??"ask disha...
"yes i told u na we have some fun plan today so lets go..."said rey
With that, I followed reyout of the orphanage.Grany closed the doors behind us, as I gave rey a look. "Where are you taking me today?" I asked, sarcasm dripping from my tone.
Rey ignored my sarcastic remark, as he told me and disha to get in his car. "I'm going to take you both to my uncle's bakery."
I frowned. "What are we going to do at a bakery?"
"We're going to learn how to make triple chocolate cookies." rey simply said.
"wow tripple chocolate cookies??"ask disha
"yes dear..."said rey...
I was looking outside the window...i tied my hair today byt due to wind they ended in open...now they were flying in the air.. ..
I felt a pair of eyes looking at me...i look at them and saw rey staring at me...he quickly look ahead...
"why he was staring at me??"i thought..."but wait why m i so happy when he was staring at me???taani u gone mad...stop thinking this rubbish thoughts"
Soon We pulled up at a bakery that was well known in mumbai. I've been here once before, but that was before my parents died. They once took me here on my birthday, and let me choose whichever cake I wanted. I ended up picking the tastiest and chocolaty cake there was.
I even remember the sly grin on rey's uncle's face when I told him what I wanted.
"rey!" a man said with flour all over his hands. "It's good to see you, boy."
"It's nice to see you too, Uncle." Rey pulled me forward, introducing me. "This is Taani Shekhawat, one of my friends."
Uncle raised an eyebrow at Rey suggestively. "Are you sure the two of you aren't more than that?"
My eyes widened, as Rey turned beet red beside me.
"Yes , I'm sure Uncle and this is disha...my friend..."he said...
"oh hi darling"said uncle
"hi uncle"answer disha
"Did you get all the ingredients out to make the cookies?"rey ask
"Of course, rey!" Uncle smirked. "Your parents made sure I made the date perfect for the two of you. They were starting to get worried that you were turning gay, since you never went on a date before."
I muffled back a laugh, as Rey fumed beside me. His arm latched around my wrist, pulling me towards the kitchen. "Let's go,Taani." He muttered with embarrassment.Disha followed us.
"so we r going to make tripple chocolate cookies today"said rey
I smiled slyly. "Great. So we start making the dough, right?"
Rey looked confused as he stared at all the ingredients. "Right." He muttered unsurely, taking a few eggs from the fridge.
"Let's start by cracking these." We cracked the eggs occasionally getting some shells in the bowl.
"rey...u r not doing well"said disha who was sitting there on a table with a chef cap on her head.
"yes sweet heart...i m trying baking first time so..."said rey
As I began to whisk the eggs and add sugar and salt, Rey was trying to figure out how to open the bag of flour.
"Do we have any scissors here?" he asked, trying to rip open the seal. Just as I was about to hand him a pair of scissors, the bag of flour erupted onto his face.
He stared up at me with disbelief; his face entirely covered with white powder.
I bit back a laugh, as I handed him the scissors. "Still need them?" I asked teasingly.
"omg rey...u r looking like a white ghost"i said and we both(me and disha) burst out laughing.
Rey stood up, as the flour dripped down to his shirt. "You think this is funny?" he asked, raising a white eyebrow.
I grinned as he began to come closer to me. My smile faded once he began to open his arms out wide. "What are you-" I started off.
Rey pulled me into a bone crushing hug, rubbing his face all over my shoulder.His hands were roaming on my back. I was struggling hard to pull off. But he was pulling me closer to him...i could hear his hearbeats.soon i coughed from all the flour,and i push him off.
When I pulled away, I noticed powder all over my hair and clothes. I glared at Rey, picking up the carton of eggs.
"You're going to regret that, rey" I smirked, tossing a egg in his direction.
The egg landed on his chest, cracking open. rey's face was priceless, as he took some baking powder out from a bowl. He tossed it in my direction, as the powder covered me entirely.
I glared at him. This meant war. Not even after a few minutes, we were covered in baking necessities from head to toe.
"where is dishu??"i ask and start to searching her...
"rey where is dishu??"i ask rey...rey smirk bcoz he saw her..
"behind the table taani" he soon grab all the ingredients and disha was now running...
Rey ran behind her and now she was also covered with baking ibgredients...he pick her up in his hands.soon we three burst out laughing.
We looked ridiculous. "How are the cookies going?" uncle poked his head in.
His eyes widened at the mess, as his jaw dropped. "Oh my Lord!" he yelped.
I bit my lower lip guiltily. "I-I'm so sorry. I'll clean it up."
"Oh no, honey!" he stared at me. "I'm not blaming you! I'm blaming Rey here! How do you egg a girl on your first date?!"
Rey's eyes shifted over to mine.
"sorry taani"he said...
"ummm...its ok rey...but seriously it was so much fun..."i said
"ok girls go and clean up..."said uncle and soon we came back after clean up...we made tripple chocolate cookies and want feedback of disha...
"ummm...taani rey...this is the best cookies ever...i love it"said disha and i also join her.

I saw both of them enjoying...after my mom these are the two girls for whom i care alot. I reach near them...disha was feeding to taani but i hold her hand and eat that cookie.
"rey its cheating..."said taani...
"its ok taani...take this"said disha and feed her another cookie.
I grab her hand and take her a bit far from disha.
"what happen rey??"ask taani
"taani did u enjoy??"i ask
"yes rey i enjoy alot..."answer taani.
"see taani. .u love baking right...so live for it...u know na how much disha love cookies and specially made by u...thats the life taani...to make others happy...look at her she is so happy because u bak for her..."i said and taani look at her...
"i think u r right rey...but now i want to know other seven reasons...how do u know me so well rey...??"ask taani
"because i know u taani"i said and left from there to disha.
soon we reach at the orphanage.
"ok bye..."i said
"bye..." said taani and turn to go.
"taani..."i said
"yes rey..."she said
"ummm...take dinner properly..."i said without my sence. I myself dont know what i was saying.
"ok..."she said and i went to my home.
i enter in the home and saw my mom sitting on sofa.
"its 8'o clock...where were u rey??"ask my mom.
"mom i was with taani...u know na i have to find reasons..."i said
"oh ya...i know..."said my mom..."why do u care for her so much rey??"ask my mom ...
"umm...bcoz she is my friend mom..."i said
"oh really rey???she is your friend or more than a friend??? think beta..."said my mom and went in her room...
after an hour i was on the dinning table for dinner...
today my brother swayam was also with me. ..he was just back from my masi's home. he was gone there for two days. my mom was serving. dad was not at home he was busy in office...
"taani pls paas the water..."i said
"taani...who is taani???"ask swayam and i snapped out from my thoughts...
"ta...ta...ta...vo...ab...taani...vo..."i was stamering
"taani swayam...ur bro's new friend"said my mom.
"oh new friend...wow and that to a girl..."said sw
"stop it swayam..."i said to my 9 years old bro swayam...
"ok i m done..."i said and went in my room.
after half hour i was sitting on the couch when suddenly swayam came there and without my notice he took my phone and check it. Soon he found taani's pic ...
"bhai???"he hissed and i snapped out from my thoughts aur i say taani's thoughts.
"what happen swayam??"i asked
"is she taani??"said sw showing me the pic
"give me my mob back sw"i stand up to catch his hand
"first tell me is she taani??"sw ask..."yes she is"i said and he ran down...i ran behind him.
"mumma...see taani's pic"sw said to my mom.
"sw give me my phone back..."
"no...se muuma...isnt she preety??"said sw
"let me see...yes she is...rey she is so preety..."said my mom...
"so...now give me my phone back..."i said
"wait bro...i want to talk to her"said sw and he dialled her number...
"swayam no plz..."i said but my mom cut me"rey...i also want to talk...swayam u call..."
He call and taani pick it up...my phone's speaker was on. Without knowing its me or not she said"yes rey...i take my dinner properly..."
"hello..."said sw
"u r not rey...sorry i dont know u..."said taani
"ummm...but i kbow u...i m his bro...swayam..."said sw
"oh...hi swayam..."said taani
"and i m his mom"said my mom...
"oh hello aunty...how r u???"ask taani
"i m fine beta"said my mom...
"ok...now give me my phone back..."i said and snatch the phone and ran in my room.
I locked my room and sat on the couch...
"ok taani...so tell me first thing how do u know that i will ask u about ur dinner first??"i ask
"umm...because u told me to take dinner when u drop us..."said taani
"i told u??really??"i ask
"uf fo rey...u r mad...ok now i m hanging up...i have some work..."said taani.
"ok...bye"i said and cut the call...and sit in my bed thinking about her...
"i hope she understood the reasons and didnt try to suceside again..." i thought...i really dont know when i fell asleep.
end of rey's POV:
He sleep and now in the hall.
Sw and his mom were sitting on sofa.
"he is so in luv with her."thought his mom and smile.
"why r u smilling mumma??"sw ask
"nothing beta...just thinking about taani."said his mom
"oh taani...i will meet her in school..."said sw.
In the orphanage:
Taani was trying to sleep. But everytime she close her eyes she can see the bonecrushing hug of them.and automatically a smile came on her lips...and when she came back to her sence"why r u smilling like idiot taani??"thought she...
"today that hug...offo taani...sleep now otherwise u will be late for school tomorrow..."she thought and sleep.
