If Onir was doing this to reunite Arjun and Purvi, it makes sense but if he was throwing the nataak to unite Archana and Purvi as the SB segment suggests, then the timing is off. Shalini was introduced before Archana came to know about Pari's identity. Onir was behaving strangely much before Archana's recovery, his being absent from the hospital also does not jell. Wish the CVs come up at least with a half plausible reason.

Good point! 👏 Yes, Onir started the naatak well before Archu recovered from coma and disowned Purvi so it cannot be accurate that he did it to reunite Purvi and Archu...he actually did it to reunite ArVi...the reporter is confused...or the CVs forgot what they wrote/showed before...😆

Of course it was Arjun and Purvi, Janhvi, and not Archana and Purvi. I listened to my first ever SBS vidoe, and there was no confusion at all about what the presenter said.

Not that this makes things any better for me. I hate mahaanta, and what I would like to do now is to kick Onir all the way from Mumbai to Kolkatta with a pair of stout hobnailed boots.

This said, "wasn't bad' sounds like very faint praise for a chap who is clearly first cousin to the Archangel Gabriel!

Shyamala -

You protest too much. After being silent for so long, you emerge when Onir is being returned to sainthood?? And you dislike Mahaanta? Sure you do!! You just like Onir too much :)

Just kidding, mind you

Yay for a positive Onir :) But what terrible writing and a plot with more holes than swiss cheese :(

And how many people did Ovi meet that night, First Soham, then those women (remember them) and then finally Onir :)

I am going to let the ARVI philes cheer (Shyamala is right, what a slimy vegetable that is if not cooked well - and this is a really badly cooked plot)... and I will let the anti-Purvi lot go merrily along bashing her.. I will mourn the absence of a plausible story instead 🤢

No, no, dear, not guilty! I reemerged, if that is the right word, only because Kools and Kalapi wanted my take on the Tuesday episode. I had not seen any of the past 10 days, but in PR, if you are as purana a khiladi as I am, one can catch up with no effort!

Now, two things more. Yes, of course I like Onir above all else as he is the only really positive character in this benighted serial. I never believed that he had any shady past, for all the reasons I had elaborated yesterday in Janhvi's thread the Today's Party Epi on page 5 (
https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/85897499
, and the follow up post on the next page. . He is too well known for a first marriage to be hidden away so well. Then it was also a question of knowing a person, if you can call one of Balaji's virtual creations a person.

Second, I was disappointed but not surprised that Purvi never had the slightest doubt that the man who had treated her like the apple of his eye for so long, could be a liar and a two-timer. It shows a total lack of trust and faith. But then she had always been 'like that only', taking and taking and taking from him, and never giving anything back, and not even bothered about the pits of public humiliation to which her folly has brought him.

When she talked, and totally at odds with the truth at that, of her not having given him 'pati ke darja', it made me feel disgusted, it was so cheap. As if that is all a pati means to her: all the protection, the caring, the unshaken support, all mean nothing. Even if he had actually been two timing her, that does not take away anything from all he did for her.

Purvi does not deserve Onir. She and Arjun are made for each other, and I hope they get together soon and that this serial is wound up.

And yes, I HATE mahaanta. I would have liked Onir to have thrashed Arjun, caught Purvi by the scruff of her neck and told her: Either you behave properly as my wife, and do not indulge in public displays of your amar prem for your ex-lover, or else take your kid and go and live with him.I will divorce you pronto.

That is my idea of a real man, not this wimp. She would have gone off pronto too, and he would have been rid of this Tar Baby with whom he has had the misfortune to become obsessed. And no, my dear, I at least am not kidding. I like a man to be a man, and not a damned doormat. Someone compared him with Sydney Carton from The Tale of Two Cities, But he was never married to Lucy Manet, and had only the slightest of contacts with her. I suppose one should be glad that Onir was not compared to Severus Snape. Now that would have been pure sacrilege!

My dear Strega,

Very nice dig about the ArVi, but what plot, badly cooked or otherwise? I am sure they pick chits out of a box every morning before they start shooting. So, to look for attention to detail and plausibility here is asking for too much. Remember Onir's trial?

Onir now looks like a prize lallu, and there must conches being blown all over the forum in anticipation of the vegetable reunion, but I have a sneaking feeling he is not going to be rid of this Tar Baby yet. She was shown looking soulfully, reproachfully and tearfully at him in the sole SBS segment that I have ever watched, and he was also carrying on like a water sprinkler.

So who knows, the secret might come out suddenly. Perhaps Shalini will be haggling with Onir over her overdue payment - I do not know from where he got the money to pay these two females - and Purvi, having gone to the kholi to collect the last of Pari's stuff, will overhear this heated discussion.

Bam! Poor Arjun will be beached and left high and dry once more, for how could the sanskaari Purvi abandon such a mahaantam tyagi of a husband? In fact Archana herself will anoint him the tyaag ki murti, trumping even the previous holder of the title, his Mishti.

Then all our hopes of early liberation will be dashed. There will be another 18 year leap, and Ankita will land up in Mumbai in 6 inch heels as Ovi-Arjun's daughter. Purvi and Onir would have been living on virtue and fresh air in the selfsame kholi (Ekta is not going to pay the rent for that gorgeous Kolkatta mansion any more) and Pari would be in the selfsame Archana-Purvi mould, only worse. There will be another triangle, more tyaag by Pari, more tantrums by Ankita's character, and the wheel will come full circle once again!😉

And where will all of us be? Why complaining as bitterly as ever, but also watching, also as ever!!😉 Ever wondered why and how Ekta Kapoor is so successful?
