You probably are not aware of ground realities my dear. Your naivete is on display here.
IAS officers can get docs' licenses cancelled. IAS officer has to oversee affairs of entire district and all development work from health to sanitation to everything.
Come to India baby. And learn what IAS is all about.
Pehle life ko dekho. Phir kuch kaho.
Come out of online forums and comment on basis of reality. Okay?
I've seen docs pissing in their pants at mention of IAS!
There is a reason why every person still dreams to be IAS. Even NRIs are nowadays returning back and trying to appear for IAS.
Kamaal hi hai iss forum ki!
Yes docs are needed but "status" wise an MBA and IAS will anyday get more prestige than a doctor who has only formal MBBS, has done MS but has no formal degree of it and has just started his practice.
Sitting at baap's gifted hospital is not wrong.
I just said comparatively Shiv is what he is on his own unlike Jagya who sat at dad's hospital. Otherwise docs struggle a lot to establish themselves even after years of completing study and residency!
I will 2nd to Skepblun that even some tine Dad's hospital can't make successful doctor. My husband's BIL came back from UK and started his practice in Indidia ans was successful within 50 miles radius. People was in waiting list for months and he left his practice to his son before he died but his son could hzardly run that practice for a year. So its can't be true ki baap ke karan beta successful huaa. either beta is a good doctor or that village was desparate to get a doctor.
