first of all I would like to say Hi to everyone here 😊
I am a History lover and yes of course a Rajat lover 😉 So like all the other Jodha Akbar forum members I have also been waiting to watch this show eagerly😊 Considering the fact that the production house was said to have done a lot of research, I expected a lot out of this serial. Well, It's only the first episode, and it's way to early to give out a verdict. But there are certain things that I couldn't accept as appropriate while watching the first episode..

1. firstly they are depicting Akbar as a cruel, heartless warrior who only cared about invading and conquering kingdoms. But as far as the evidences say Akbar was said to be the most generous mughal emperor of all time. It would be unfair to blame all the cruelty on Akbar when it was actually caused by his regent Bairam Khan. Eventually Akbar himself realized how Bairam Khan was using his name to cause terror and fright, so at the age of 18 wanting to take more active part in the affairs he even dismissed khan from his court.

2. By showing that Akbar encouraged loots and robberies in hindu mandirs they are making another big blunder.. Akbar was tolerant to every religions and he even arranged Ibadat Khana to discuss the morals of every religions. The very notorious invader to loot and destroy hindu mandirs was Mahmud of Ghazni, and to compare him with Akbar the great will be really unfair.

3. The language that is being used by the rajasthani royals are more similar to common day hindi than to 16th century rajasthani or sanskrit.. if they are using the same set and all like the film "jodha akbar" , they should also have given importance to the kind of spoken language used in the film. And quarreling over a necklace is so not like a princess.. if they are deciding to introduce new characters which are not mentioned in history( like jodha's sister) they would better be careful.

4. The PH is thinking about bringing some twists and turns and considering that it's a daily soap it's fine.. but that should not include mis-interpretation of Historical facts. We don't want more controversies regarding this show, or do we??

5. We know that behind every successful man, there's a woman.. PH is trying to show that. It's OKAY.. but atleast give akbar some credit.. Everything that akbar was, it was not all because of jodha. And more over this is not a saas bahu saga about a bad guy turning good because of his wife.

Okay that's all I wanted to say today.. Sorry if anyone found my post negative. By the way the first scene with jodha and akbar's spirits in the tomb, it was reaaly a magical, deep and heart touching scene. hope the PH will be able to remove the flaws in the script eventually to make this show legendary. This is the least they can do for Jodha and Akbar's immortal love saga. 👍🏼

Hoping to watch a great epi tomorrow as the precap indicates 😉
Good night🤗

the all so great stories we have heard of akbar were after he turned 40 yrs old.

But until then, under the influence of bairam khan or not,he was just a driven force who only wanted to grab as much as he can

PROOF :

Third Jauhar of Chittor Emperor Akbar besieged the fort of Chittor in September 1567 Changing the strategy, Rana Udai Singh II Father of Rana Pratap , his sons and the royal women, using secret routes, escaped soon after the siege began. The fort was left under Jaimal Rathor and Patta Sisodia's command. One morning Akbar found Jaimal inspecting repairs to the fort which had been damaged by explosives, and killed him. That same day the Rajputs realized that defeat was certain. The Rajput women committed Jauhar in the night of February 22, 1568 AD, and the next morning, the Rajput men committed saka.Abul Fazl has given a true account of the event as seen by Akabar in his biography in 1568 AD.)

Jaimal and Patta were extremely brave. When rajput opened the gate of fort and perform saka ,the battle became so fiercy that Akbar army fled for a moment from the battlefield though they were large in numbers but returned soon as in the mean time they got help from Man singh(King of Jaipur) and his army and they captured the fort killing Jaimal and Patta .

Before dying Jaimal and Patta cursed Mansingh that just like he had destroyed their family-his kingdom will have no males to become a king. For those who are illusioned by the history books that Akbar was a good person will be surprised to know that after death of Jaimal and Patta, Akbar became very angry and frustrated even after win as he losses heavily in this battle in terms of money, force and time during this period of 4-5 months( when the fort was surrounded by his army and rajput often attack with gurilla war tactics) . To calm his anger he ordered his army to kill all the civilians.

About 25000 residents of Chittor were killed. Akbar was the very cruel and no less than Aurangzeb

Lol I agree, I am watching this, but as a history nut myself do not care how they develop the love story since the general consensus among historians is that there was no epic love story and the role of Jodha is ambiguous and of no real importance to Akbar's rule.

I also am not a fan of the portrayal of Akbar, I feel the movie paid more homage in that domain. Rajat is doing a good job though, and this whole "kya Jodha bana paiyagi use insaan?" is annoying, since Akbar was always tolerant and even curious about all religions.

But historically all the change in Akbar was not caused by Jodha, if that is what the TM meant

Akbar was not a tolerant king from the very start...he turned into a tolerant n generous king in his later life , after 30 years or so...I'm not saying he was changed bacause of Jodha only...he changed by himself in most parts...but that happened much later .

No I agree, but his change was not attributed to Jodha, since no historian recognizes her importance in his rule at all.
