Times Of India-Dharmendra with his ooltah chashmah

The recent addition to the list of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans is none other than the original He-man of Bollywood, Dharmendra.

Says Asit Kumarr Modi, producer and creative director of the show, "Dharam ji is visiting our set to promote his film. But before that, he wanted to see a few episodes of the show. So, we went to meet him with three episodes and expected him to watch just one. But he saw all three while we waited for him to get free, so that we could work out the details of the shoot."

Apparently, Dharmendra told the producer that he had never laughed so much while watching television. He also appreciated Asit's second show, Waah Waah Kya Baat Hai. "He writes shero shayari and poetry. He even recited one of his poems for us. He is a humble and warm person," adds Asit.

Taarak Mehta.. actors were also excited and look ed forward to meeting Dharam ji on the sets. Dilip Joshi said, "It was a dream come true when he came on the sets. I have been a great fan of him since his Chupke Chupke and Pratigya days. And he made my day when he told me that I am a good artist and that good things happen to good people, unexpectedly. His coming on the show was unexpected and a great surprise.."
