Rk enters the room...madhu has slept already...dinner is untouched...rk walks out of the room in frustration...

Chapter 7 - THE VENUE

Next day afternoon

At rk mansion

Rk : madhu aaj shooting ka aakhri din hai...phir...ek minute biwi...hum jaayenge kahaan?

Madhu : wo toh tumhe pata hona chahiye naa? (rk looks at her confused) waise hum uss gaon main jaa sakte hai...

Rk: chalo madhu...tumhe kuch dikhana hai...

Madhu : par rk tumhaara shoot?

Rk : biwi aaj raat ki shift hai...kal shaam tak hogi shooting...ab chalo bhi...

Both of them sit in the car n drive off...they arrive at the same place where they had once decided to get married...

The Wedding Venue

Madhu was trying hard to hide her tears...rk was feeling guilty but he hid his feelings...rk noticed madhu in tears n raised his hand to softly wipe away her tears n then he said

Rk: dekha biwi maine kaha tha naa ki hum shaadi kahin aur karenge...

Madhu : rk yeh sab bohot khoobsurat hai...yeh tumne kab?

Rk had decorated the wedding place with beautiful flowers that hung from pillars placed in a circular arrangement...the centre of it housed a havan kund (holy fire)...and the carpet to the entrance of this grand wedding place was replaced with grass...the sides of the grass had stands which had diyas on top of them...

Rk: main chahta hoon ki iss baar kuch bhi joothaa naa ho...jab yeh aasman, yeh talao, yeh hawwa, yeh agni sab apni sachaai bayaan kar rahe hai toh main peeche kaise hatt sakta hoon...isliye biwi...yeh ghaas jo humaare swaagat mein hamesha khilii rahegi...aur yeh diye jo maine jalaaye hain humaari duniyaa main roshni bharte rahenge...aur yeh phool jiski khushboo humaare aane waale kal mein in hawaao ke zariye mehekti rahegi..

Madhu smiled sweetly n suddenly hugged him...he hugged her back a little in shock...

They broke the hug awkwardly..

Rk : chalo...yahaan...

Rk grabbed her hand and took her ahead towards a vanity van...he opened the door and dragged madhu in...

Rk : tumne poochaa tha naa kahan jaayenge? Kahan jaayenge yeh toh pata nahi lekin,iss vanity ko apna ghar bana sakte hain...jab tak...jab tak hum aisi koi jagah naa dhundh le jahan hume koi naa pehchaane...

Madhu : rk tum yeh sab kyu kar rahe ho?

Rk : ab main nahi karoonga toh kaun karega biwi?

Madhu: rk...pyaar karte ho mujhse?

Rk : haan karta hoon madhu(with all sincerity)...main jaanta hoon ki tumhaare liye mujhpe vishwaas karna mumkin nahi...lekin main kaise tumhe yakin dilaaoon? Tumhaare liye sab kuch chodne ko tayiyaar hoon...

Madhu : mujhe chod sakte ho rk?

Rk : madhu? (in panic)

Rishbala eyelock

Rk : ek baar tumhe chodne ki galti kar chukka hoon...dubara nahi kar sakta...

Madhu : rk shoot pe jaane se pehle mujhe chawl chodoge?

Rk : madhu kya hum wahan shaadi ke baad nahi jaa sakte? Wo main..

Madhu : kyunki tumhe lagta hai ki maa aur didu mujhe aane nahi denge?

Rk : nahi madhu...wo...kya tumne bataya ki hum kal shaam shaadi kar rahe hain?

Madhu : rk wo...wo...chitthi...wahan chodni hai...

Rk smiles like a kid...

They sit in the car and rk drops madhu at the chawl and head off to the studio...(its late evening by now)

Rk is at shoot at night...while madhu is at chawl...however she heads to rk mansion at night...

At rk mansion

Next day evening

Madhu is ready in her bridal saaree...n she carefully gets out of Rk mansion so that nobody can stop her or question her...unaware that deepali has seen her...madhu gets into the car and head to the wedding venue...rk is waiting there...panditji is sitting there next to the holy fire...

deepali : kya aapko pata hai aapki beti kya gul khilaa rahi hai?

padminiji : meri beti ke baare mein aisa-waisa kuch bhi bolne se pehle sochlo...
