@shobi your story reflects mine. I have also gone through a lot of things for getting my B-Tech. It was my dad who stood behind me so that I could get what I want. He was asked multiple times who will marry his over qualiifed daughter as educated boys in my community were less.

Pressure was there on my parents to marry me of 2 a boy not professionally qualified. My mother was worried, but again my dad stood his ground telling that he will not marry me unless I am sure about it.

I know there were many people who were waiting to see me married to a lesser qualified guy , who gave me many advises as to why I shouldnt wait for a professionally qualiifed guy.

I am thankful to God that he gave me a husband not only professionally qualified( He is a CA), but yes walks me like a queen ( to tell you frankly the intial portions of DABH reminded me of my own married life). I have also taken out the frustrations and the expectations society put me on him. But he has understood my insecurities and gradually but surely helped me overcome my fears. If one thing DABH made me realize is that it has made me appreciate my husband better. When I see certain behaviour of Sandhya towards Sooraj I am reminded of my own behaviour towards my husband during the initial days of our marriage. Sometimes I laugh and feel I could have done better. 😃😃.

Fighting within a society is a tough job. But you will be happier when you win it.

Shehjar, yes Sandy bears with it all because of her unconditional love. Bhabo knows that very well and yet behaves this way. I cannot find any excuse for it any more.

Shobhana, I am really confused with what you say. Do you really believe that Bhabo is right or that Sandhya should keep fighting the good fight against Bhabo? I feel that Sandhya has already done more than enough to earn Bhabo's trust and that she should not be victimized by Bhabo any longer. She deserves the same love, respect and loyalty she has shown towards Bhabo returned back to her. Your Mom has always been supportive. How would you feel if she turned against you. It hurts you the most when people you love don't trust you. Sandy's tears in gg room after the water drum incident proved that. She has already given all her agni pareekshas and she loves Bhabo like a mother. What more does she need to do? I cannot buy that Bhabo is concerned for SurYa future. She knows that her beendni has the capacity to do it all. Home, career, everything.

I hope Bhabo realizes the error of her ways before it is too late.

Bhabho will take much time. In my case bhabho is my father even stronger than bhabho. He never recognises my work u know. My bros join him always . Now that he live separate due to his work my bros took over his place😆 I never complain abt them but if somebody illtreats me they are the first persons to come forward & support me like bhabho . They never show their love for me openly. They always taunt me like bhabho🤣 So i think bhabho needs sometime as my father himself is taking his own time for a 21 yrs now (my age). PPl like them can't be changed all of a sudden😉 My mother is a strong pillar of support but she also supports her patidev sometimes😆
