Scene 1 ' A Dark Room

The episode begins in a large house at nighttime. An unidentified man walks downstairs into a dimly lit cellar and asks a girl off-screen if she's changed her mind and is willing to do as told. She openly defies him and refuses to obey at any cost. The man smiles evilly before menacingly lighting a match.

Scene 2 ' A Village

The scene switches to a village hut; the couple living there is seen emptying their belongings onto a cot outside. One of their friends tries to console the man Harish saying that everything will be fine once they get to Mumbai, but they're devastated that their daughter Damini has apparently fled from the village with some boy. Damini's younger sister Ritu tries to defend her, but her mother is enraged and puts her down. The friend says that he can relate to their situation as his own daughter Sunita had done the same 2 months ago. It's revealed that the family is leaving because their reputation is ruined and local panchayat has exiled them from the village. They pack their belongings into a van and leave for Mumbai.

Scene 3 ' A Road

Two days later, we see Ritu in school uniform walking along a road. She stops at a roadside newspaper stall and grows upset upon seeing a photograph of a girl's body in one of the newspapers on display there. The shopkeeper asks if she wants it, and says that it costs 2 rupees. She pays up, takes the newspaper and hurries home. Her mother is concerned to see her so upset and asks her what happened. She shows her the photograph, which turns out be that of Sunita, and explains (since the mother can't read) that according to the article, the C.I.D has Sunita's body and they haven't identified her yet. She adds that Damini isn't mentioned in the article. Her mother is upset as well and calls for her husband Harish, who enters along with Sunita's father Mukesh. The latter is devastated to learn about her terrible fate. Ritu points out that the article's author requests anybody who identifies the victim to approach the C.I.D. Harish says that they should do it.

Scene 4 ' The C.I.D Bureau

Mukesh, along with Damini's family, visits the C.I.D bureau and identifies Sunita for ACP sir. ACP sir sympathizes with him and explains that some roadside workers had discovered the corpse earlier.

(Flashback)

Rajat, Vineet and Dr. Tarika arrive and are led to the body by one of the workers. He says that they didn't see anybody near it when they arrived earlier that day. Tarika points out that the victim's arms bear numerous cigarette burns, the back of her neck is swollen and she seems to be around 13-14 years old. Rajat marvels what a monster the person who savaged her thus must've been.

(Flashback ends)

Back in the present, Mukesh sobs that he'd come to Mumbai hoping to reunite with Sunita. Harish explains that Sunita and Damini had fled to Mumbai two months ago. ACP sir is concerned to know that Damini was with her as well, and says that someone the girls knew might've called them there. Harish and Mukesh say that some unfamiliar boy had arrived in their neighbourhood as a guest, and the two girls had been hanging out a lot with him. Purvi expresses suspicion that this guy might have something to do with Sunita's murder. ACP sir agrees and says that they need to track him down as soon as possible in order to get a lead on Damini. He tells Vineet to go to the village and find out everything he can about this mysterious boy.

Scene 5 ' The Village

Rajat and Vineet arrive and question the neighbours about Damini and Sunita. The villagers start criticizing the girls for eloping with the boy, before Vineet informs them about Sunita's murder and that Damini is missing. Rajat questions them about the boy who used to stay with them. They claim that he was the son of a family friend who had mortgaged some jewels to them, and the boy had come to take those back after his father died. They also claim ignorance regarding the boy's current whereabouts and phone number. Rajat asks them to help in getting him sketched.

Scene 6 ' The C.I.D Bureau

The sketching is seen to be progressing in the bureau. ACP sir asks Purvi to call Dr. Salunkhe for the forensic report, but soon receives a call from him himself and is informed that Sunita hadn't eaten anything for ten days, implying that she had been starved to death. At this point, the sketch is finished; ACP sir asks Vineet to look it up in their database and dismisses the artist and neighbour. Purvi worries that the murderer might kill Damini as well. Vineet discovers that Jayant (the boy) apparently had no criminal records. ACP sir instructs him to have copies of the sketch displayed all over the city and to alert police stations about Jayant as well.

Scene 7 - Various

We see posters of Jayant's sketch plastered on walls across the city, advertising a price of 25,000 bucks on his head. A lady sees one of these, recognizes Jayant and grows concerned. She hurries home and contacts the C.I.D. Daya sir and Pankaj arrive to meet her; she informs them that Jayant had been a tenant of hers for six months, but was missing since 2-3 days. Pankaj shows her photographs of Damini and Sunita. She seems to recognize them.

(Flashback)

The lady spots Jayant taking the two girls up to his room. They're impressed by the house, and he tempts them about owning one eventually. He leads them inside the room before discreetly attending a call outside. He tells the caller that the girls are with him, and he'll take them to him/her later. The lady comes up and sharply questions Jayant about all this. Jayant claims that the girls' fathers sent them with him for working in the city as the village's agricultural yield has been abysmal and they're in need of money.

(Flashback ends)

Daya sir checks the rooms, but finds nothing. The lady tells him that the girls had been living there only for a couple of days. Daya sir wonders what Jayant had to do with them, and who the unknown person he'd been talking to on phone was. He remarks that Jayant will probably never return now as his wanted posters are all over the city, and decides to wait for the correct moment to close in on him.

Scene 8 ' A Dark Alley

A drunkard is seen stumbling around the city at nighttime. He finds Jayant hiding behind some trash bins, his face hooded. He recognizes him from the wanted posters and, developing greed for the reward money, slips away to contact the C.I.D. Rajat and Vineet arrive, and the drunkard leads them to Jayant. The latter tries to escape, but is shot at by Rajat and captured.

Scene 9 ' The C.I.D Bureau

Jayant confesses that he had lured Damini and Sunita to Mumbai using false promises about getting them decent jobs, and then sold them to an agency which deals in turning young girls into maids. 😡 😡 The two girls' families enter and harshly condemn Jayant, who angrily reveals that Harish was responsible for selling Damini and Sunita as well. Harish reluctantly confesses that he indeed did it for money. His wife and Mukesh blame him for his treachery. ACP sir asks Jayant about the illegal agency in question; Jayant claims that the people he dealt with have fled the city with their homes locked and mobiles switched off. ACP sir instructs Vineet to interrogate him and Harish, and tells Rajat to contact Dhenchu and find out about the agency.

Scene 10 ' A Dark Room

We see Damini lying unconscious in a dimly lit room. She regains consciousness and attempts to get up, but is too weak to do so. With great effort, she pushes herself to the door and desperately calls for help.

Scene 11 ' The City

Dhenchu is engaged in some... colourful activity when Vineet and Fredericks arrive, and persuade him to get to work. They ask him to obtain details about one Mayank, who allegedly works for the agency in question, and provide him with the old address and number of the same. Dhenchu agrees and sets off.

Scene 12 ' A Tea Stall

Dhenchu visits a tea stall and, after ordering tea from the shopkeeper, intentionally stages a phone conversation about selling two girls, so that another customer standing there overhears him and offers to buy the girls for the agency he works with. Dhenchu agrees, but asks to be paid on his terms. The guy agrees and hands him a card, asking him to visit the place the following evening.

Scene 13 ' The Agency's Office

As scheduled, Dhenchu arrives at the agency's office with Shreya and Ritu disguised as maids and meets Mayank. Mayank hands Shreya a card and tells them to go to that place at 10:00 AM the next day, and allows them to leave. Dhechu takes him aside and expresses concern about the C.I.D being alerted by Sunita's death and Damini going missing; Mayank assures him that they've got the situation under control. Dhenchu leaves, and Mayank quietly calls his boss to inform them about the girls, warning that they need to be extra careful this time around. Dhenchu is seen overhearing this at the door.

Scene 14 ' A Garden

Mayank is seen lazing on a swing. Shreya and Ritu arrive as requested, and he rebukes them for being late on the very first day of their work. Shreya apologizes and explains that it took them a while to locate the place. He hands over the addresses of four homes and tells them to hurry over and do household cleaning work over there.

Scene 15 ' A House

Shreya and Ritu leave for one of the homes and meet a lady Mamta in there, who asks if Mayank sent them. Shreya confirms and says that she is the one who will do the work as she wants the younger girl to pursue her studies first. Mamta coldly brushes this aside and instructs her to sweep and mop the house. Shreya prepares to do this and, making sure they're alone, tells Ritu to carefully search the house. Ritu accidentally drops some vases; Mamta turns up and harshly scolds the two of them. Shreya is enraged, but keeps her calm and encourages Ritu to go ahead as planned.

Ritu evades Mamta's prying eyes and quietly observes her companion Kamlesh going downstairs into a basement room. She informs Shreya about this. After Kamlesh exits the room, the two of them approach it and Shreya unlocks the door using her hairpin. Ritu finds Damini's dress lying on the ground nearby and grows upset; Shreya consoles her. They enter the room and find Damini; Ritu has a tearful reunion with her sister. Shreya assures Damini that she's safe now, but Mamta and Kamlesh turn up at this point and, ignoring Shreya's outrage, lock them inside the room. Outside, the two crooks decide to get rid of the girls to prevent them from ruining their plans. Shreya attempts to call for help, only to discover that there's no network coverage in the room. She assures the sisters that she'll get them to safety by any means possible.

Scene 16 ' The Qualis

Daya sir and Vineet are seen in the Qualis; the latter repeatedly tries unsuccessfully to contact Shreya. Deducing that she must be in trouble, Daya sir asks him to contact the mobile company for the last known whereabouts of Shreya's phone. Vineet complies and is told that its last known location is Kavinagar.

Scene 17 ' The Cellar

Shreya is seen taking care of the sisters in their basement prison. A burst of sinister gas is suddenly let in through the windows, and starts to knock all three of them unconscious. Shreya swiftly pulls out her phone and tries to type something before collapsing.

Scene 18 ' The House

Daya sir and Vineet arrive at the house and find it empty. They break into the basement cellar and find Shreya's mobile lying on the ground. Daya sir says that she must've certainly found something crucial in the room, and they need to get Mayank to tell them what that was.

Scene 19 ' Deserted Area

Mayank drives to a lonely forested area and meets Kamlesh and Mamta, who have Shreya and the sisters bound and unconscious nearby. The two crooks angrily inform him that Shreya and Ritu had actually been on a covert mission to find out about Damini and Sunita, and demand to know how he came across them. Mayank is obviously flustered and says that an agent had brought them to him. At this point, the said "agent" (aka, Dhenchu) and Fredericks turn up and hold them at gunpoint. Mamta pulls out her own gun and threatens to shoot the hostages, but is disarmed by Abhijeet and Daya sir who sneak up from the side. Abhijeet sir unties the hostages and concernedly tells Fredericks to take them to the hospital. The three miscreants attempt to flee, but are captured. Daya sir hands Mayank a painful SLAP.

Scene 20 ' The C.I.D Bureau

Mayank confesses that they used to lure young girls from villages, train them to do household work and then sell them to obtain commission. Mamta says that Sunita was unable to learn how to do the work despite them brutally attempting to train her using cigarette burns, therefore they locked her and Damini in the cellar because they had to briefly leave for America and the two girls were refusing to co-operate. Sunita had starved to death by the time they returned, and they remorselessly threw her body out on the streets. ACP sir furiously condemns their inhuman crimes, and says that the three of them deserve to be executed for what they did.

Scene 21 ' The C.I.D Bureau

The sisters have an emotional reunion with their mother in the bureau. The latter thanks ACP sir for saving her daughters; he modestly waves it away and praises Ritu for helping them find her sister, and Damini for braving all the torture unjustly directed at her, and awards them the C.I.D medals. Turning to the audience, he accepts the growing financial pressure in the modern society but requests parents not to let that ruin the lives of their children by making them do extra work. He also requests children to not run away like Damini and Sunita, but study well and support their parents.
