Coming to the hug that literally had me in tears of happiness.. which is a weird reaction..considering it was a HUG scene..I thought I would hyperventillate LOL But the feel was so divine and pure more than passionate, that I couldn't help but cry with my hands folded in prayer near my heart...my wish came true! Saras smiling with happiness for having her in his arms..for hearing her say that she loves him.. and Kumud initially nervous, stiff and hesitant , then slowly moving up her arms and holding his back.. glancing sideways, the way her head was positioned and her chin trying to reach his shoulder height gave the whole thing a very natural feel.. I could feel that this is a girl who is being hugged by a man for the first time..but once she loosened up and relaxed in his arms, firmed her grip on his back and closed her eyes in pleasure of having him so close to her , all that was beautifully done!

...also in the soft lighting of the radha krishna...kumud's side was lit and saras side was dark...
very symbolic to me...

Wow, I did notice that Saras' room seemed to have symbolically shifted away from that peacock-wala side to the Radha Krishna side, but not that one of them was in the dark!!😆

Saawariya was one of SLB's unsuccessful films, though the music is out of this world. "Thodi badmash hai tum" is one of my all-time favourites...

However I get the heebiejeebies when they try to make the SC haveli look like that movie. Much as you and I may like that period vibe, I dont think they will get TRP's with all that subtle, restrained, shabby-chic-retro- whatever look. Janta and more importantly the TRP aunties will just find them too dull to look at!

For me the direction was ok.

About Kumud's response, for me it was very real. She loves him, but it doesn't mean just jump over him as he hugged him and finish off everything so soon. She could not believe what happened, gradually she accpeted that it was real and hugged him back. So for me it had no problem at all

Happychappy, you don't have to agree with the ones who loved today's episode (this list includes me actually!) at all! I think there are a lot of us here (again, including me!) who respect your opinion about today's episode.

However, if I could give a small clarification on my own part to try and compensate for today's episode, I will try my best. You really don't have to agree!

I personally found today's lambhaaa hug swoon-worthy because these days, something so simple as a first hug with your true love is so very uncommon. In the shows that I watch, films that I watch, something as simple as holding hands, pushing hair back, and hugging is overlooked. Everyone gets straight to the making out and bedroom scenes. I just found the hug so particularly meaningful because it shows the innocence and emotional side of love. And it really emphasized, for me, how time literally freezes when you feel so complete with someone so important so close to you.

I personally thought the blue aura was symbolic for Kumud and Saras' dreamlike state. It reminded me of Kumud's dreams of a man's eyes before even getting to know Saras.

I am personally not that tall, and when I hug a friend who's taller than me, my head always ends up awkwardly on their shoulders too... But I think that this awkward stance in the hug was done purposely as well, considering what a perfectionist SLB is. It really accentuates how SaMud are not a perfect couple. And I like small imperfections like this... but I completely understand how irritating imperfection can be as well 😆

all in all, thank you for your opinions. I was very pleased to be able to consider another perspective!

again a great reply veera, u make everything sound so beautiful, in fact i am enjoying more reading ur description of the scenes, rather than the scene itself!
