Hi All

Like some of you, I'm a fan of Ripu and was disappointed to read that he may be cheating. This email should everyone's mind at rest:

Dear Meena,

Thanks for writing in to us.

We are glad that you took time off to write to us about MasterChef India.

We have looked into all of Ripu's documents again and there is no proof of him having ever joined a hotel management institute. He had already told us that he did a trial at an institute for two weeks, which had a 'try the course before u enrolled' kind of a scheme! In any case, these two weeks can't be held against him, since Masterchef India just disallows professional degree holders from hotel management institutes to participate; short courses and diplomas are allowed. Hope that clarifies!

Warm Regards,

Consumer Response Cell.

Hello I hope that you will clear something up for me and many viewers of the masterchef India show. Apparently Ripu has done a hotel management course and professional cooker classes- could you confirm if that is true as if it is, that is most unfair and breaking the rules of the show. I look forward to hearing from you, I watch the show daily in the UK. Sent from my iPhone __________________

Thanks for sharing.

But then on his linkedin, twitter n fb a/cs, it's written as chef. How come?
Only professionally trained cooks can use the title chef, otherwise they're only experts.

Just a thought

My speculation is not about what previous experience he has.
I was speculating on how the judges are biased towards Ripu and I still stand by that.
He is definitely going to come first or second - and that's mainly due to the judges partiality.

The guy must have generally written that. When he got through to MC it must have been a happy and ego boosting time and he must have added chef to his name for effect 😆 Who knows...

I disagree. His level of skill and expertise is obvious in the way he cooks, as are his innovative ways of putting flavours and textures together- he could come on masterchef UK and do well.

It's not as if he's my favourite either- Khoku was and at the moment it's Yasmin, Doyal and Ripu- but credit has to be given where its due.

I don't think he's bad but he isn't as good as they make him out to be either.
I watch masterchef UK and no way would he be anywhere in the first 10. This guy has been very very lucky.
MC UK is a much better organised competition with no favourtism and someone like Ripu who has been majorly pushed through this competition would flounder and will have been eliminated pretty quickly.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree but then that's what makes these forums interesting

Finally! This is what I was trying to say that if the channel had a problem with his qualifications they would've never let him participate in the first place

Finally people can't say anything against him regarding this issue
