No dear, he is not being called a hypocrite because he loves his children.
Manav as a father is selective in his love for his children - he is either blind to their faults (Ovi) or blind to their existence (Soham). But still, this does not make him a hypocrite.
We call him a hypocrite because he calls Purvi beti when it suits him. He was happy to take her sacrifice when it suited him and when Ovi was happy. Did he suddenly realise that Arjun did not love Ovi? How should he have reacted when Ovi came and told him about the deal? Did you see his mild reaction that he couldn't believe what Ovi did.
He was also right in asking Purvi what she thought when she exchanged the babies. But thats all.
And what was the drama about when he went in full throttle on Ovi misising when he fully knew where she was? What was his reaction when Purvi went missing and Archana was crying buckets? As such a big businessman, did he make any attempts to search for her? Arjun was bound by Purvi's kasam not to look out for her but what about Manav?
He thought Purvi was good riddance when she lost but he knew how useful she was when he found that she was Onir's husband and Ovi needed Onir.
Leave Ovi out. Why is he so hard-hearted on Soham? Because he hurt Archana. And who had hurt and cheated Archana for 18 or more years? When he can forgive his mum, why can't he do the same for Soham? If Savita has repented, so has Soham. When Savita did hurt Archana deliberately , Soham did not.
As a parent, he should feel bad for the way Soham and Ovi's life has turned out but is he also not part of the blame, atleast for Ovi?
