Super post and superb observations ! Totally agree with your views... I have had a nagging feeling from episode 1 that they have decided Yasmin as the winner.. Although khoku was my favourite... Hope she returns through wildcard... Queen 22 I am impressed by your post

yes, it has just not matched previous seasons but fallen down drastically.
and what's more disappointing is the fact that we had more expectations from this season, with chef sanjeev joining in and show being made daily instead of weekend one.
but it's just disappointment 😵

@Queen 22 thats an excellent point uv made abt under-cooked food vs- under-flavoured food!

infact it holds true! 1 would always favour a lesser flavoured dish over an under cooked or a burnt dish!

as an international viewer and non veg myself iv watched alot of western cooking reality shows as masterchef us and austrailia, hells kitchen etc... 1 thg all chefs on those shows advocate is that a dish that requires cooking MUST be cooked, if dish looks raw n uncooked then d chef dsnt even taste it!

This show has faltered several times!
It's too dramatic, it's a reality show and should be judges as just that.

Unfortunately, we hear sad stories of the contestants lives!

When Ishrat was eliminated, it was silly. I mean the other contestant couldn't even make a decent jelly! While Ishrats only fault was that she couldn't make the chocolate cup!
But it wasn undercooked or unflavoured!

The pizza task, 30 mins! How unrealistic!
Lets not forget pizza parlours have the dough and sauces ready.
It takes a while for the dough to rise, hence these people made parathas as their base!

Navratna thali with 500gms ingredients!
I agree we eat much less, but when u cook - the ingredients lose its water content and become lighter/less in quantity.
You really want us to believe they managed?

The cake task - when my neighbour cooks and a dish burns chances are I can smell the burnt food if I'm clos to widow!
That cake wa s badly burnt, you really think the contestants didn't realise?

The Punjab task - was it a treasure hunt/ a roadies task or what?
Didn't seem like a cookery show!
And how did Aditi and Devyani manage?
They had only abt an hour, their stove caught fire!

Do all chutneys have to be sour? I've personally eaten chutneys that are neither sour nor sweet! That was the basis for Khokhus elimination!

Happy vs Ripu- chicken with kadhi!! How innovative! Wasn't Happy's dish much more innovative? Also the comments seemed worse for Ripu!

From what I see, the winner is probably per decided!

Sanjeev Kapoor seems to have gotten possessed by Akshay Kumar's bhoot. The very same arrogance, the very hogging the episode, the very same rudeness towards the contestants (as if they're beggars), the very same favouritism, the very same misleading comments.

Nowadays Sanjeev Kapoor 🤢 irritates me more than Navneet 🤢 & Doyal 🤢 (Much better to watch Oggy & the cockroaches 🤬)

At least, they're showing Kunal to some extent, but Vikas seems to be just a stage prop, rather part of the beautiful background!

And if melodrama, tears were the criteria this yr, SP should just have announced who the winner is first, & then shown the series to justify the reason why 😡

MC 3 i snot upto the standard of previous seasons

I dnt feel like watching a cooking show...almost all episodes are abt marketing, running, doing anythng 4 geting customers etc ...reminds me of roadies show

they have 2 concentrate n the dish of contestants...Its fun 2 watch sum twists are given n it...but n MC 3 everyweek dey are giving customer interaction round...as if it is "Who Markets Best" show

I agree on many grounds! The last season, I feel is the best out of all three. I am seriously annoyed by Navneet - he should have been out ages ago. The other contestants also are not up to the mark. And the challenges this season are not great. Last season - there were SO many innovative amazing challenges and pressure tests- cooking for pehelwans, making a christmas wonderland or like replicating a 2- michelin star awarded chef's dish... This season, the pressure tests are not great. I mean when Happy, Ripu, Devyani and Nisha aunty were in the aakhri daav - they were asked to cook ANYTHING. There was not much pressure! Last season also had amazing taste challenges and various cooking techniques challenges which brought out so much innovation - like one of the episodes had chefs making tarts on a tava, chicken in a kal chati and using ancient cooking techniques - that was amazing! This season is a huge dissapointment.
I am also not at all satisfied with Sanjeev Kapoor - he is so rude and arrogant. Preferred chef Ajay!
This season does really nothing for me. And the weekday airing and no weekend airing is also a horrid idea. There is no continuity when you watch next and the aakhri daav concept is a little weird as well. For the last 2 seasons, we are having 2 people in the aakhri daav - I really do not like the absurd changes they have made. I hope next season (if there is - which probably is not likely) really improves on these!
And the funniest thing, the masterchef 2 chefs are also very glad they arent a part of this season. Joseph, Vijaylakshmi and Shahzad have all stated on social networking websites how stupid the show has got now and how blessed they feel for not being a part of masterchef 3.
