Hey Guys 😃 !! Am back with the update sorry for the delay so here we go with the next part.Fair warning - this update will have little Arshi moments but this is kind of important for the future story 😃😳! Hope you like it !!
After chatting and laughing for almost two hours Khushi glanced at the big grandfather clock on the wall and gasped "Hey Devi Maiya ! Its almost 8 pm.I dint see the time at all ! " Khushi jerked up from the couch and spoke in a rush still gasping at the clock wide eyed.
That is when they all looked at the clock as well.None of them realized that time flew away so fast. Arnav was the first one to speak "Relax Lazybones. Its only 8 you react as if its midnight ! " he said chuckling.
Khushi swatted his arm "Oh shut up .Poor Buaji would be preparing dinner alone, I should go and help her " She turned towards Anjali "Di thank u so much for the halwa its so yummy ! " she then took blessings from Naniji and took her leave "Naniji , Jiju Il leave now you all take care "
Shyam smiled and waved her bye "You too take care butterfly.And do come here once in a while "
Naniji nodded smiling widely "Ya damadji is right.You should visit us often bitiya. We had so much fun today having you here like old times "
Anjali nodded and cupped Khushi's shoulders smiling ear to ear "Ya nani you are absolutely right.Today was so much fun and I laughed a lot looking at the way these two were bickering at each other "
"Di !! We did not " They both cried in unison and that elicited another laugh.Arnav finally stood up and said "Chalo I'l also come with you and leave you home "
Khushi looked at him as if he is weird "Arnav I don't live in next state.I live right next door you don't have to leave me all the way to door " she said rolling her eyes.
Arnav shrugged "Am not coming with you to see you to your door.Am coming along to see Buaji I haven't seen her for the past three days and I miss her and her cooking" he said smirking. Khushi rolled her eyes and sighing she said "Ok come " They both left Shantivan , all the way arguing with one another.
Anjali knew her brother was bluffing and smiled to herself thinking how protective he is towards his loved ones.
Nani looked at their retreating back with a fond smile and commented "These two will never change.Ok Anjali Bitiya and Damadji I will go to my room for sometime to take rest " Shyam and Anjali nodded "Ji nani "

Later that night, Shyam saw Anjali sitting on the bed in deep thinking.She dint even realize when he sat next to her.Shyam wondered what got into his pretty wife's head that she had blocked out her surroundings. Deciding to make his presence known he touched her cheek lovingly.
"Rani Sahiba what are you thinking so deeply about? Is everything alright? "He asked looking into her face, with concern.
On hearing his pet name for her, she smiled automatically and gave him a quick side hug "Nothing serious Shyam I was just thinking what a great day we had today.Its been so long since we all sat together for a chat and laughed so heartily.Before Chotte and Khushi were in college we used to have this chatting time almost daily.But after Chotte left for Harvard everything changed " she said pouting as if it was all Arnav's fault.
Shyam sighed in relief and chuckled "Bas? Itni si baat?You scared me for a minute ! With the way you were thinking so deeply you looked as if you were going to negotiate business deal with US president " he laughed when Anjali swatted his chest playfully.
She smiled faintly and spoke up "Shyam it would have been great if Chotte and Khushi got married na? They would have made a perfect happy family.And Khushi wouldn't have had to suffer such a sad predicament in life at such young age " she said wistfully.
Shyam sighed, many times he had wished the same too.He loves Arnav immensely and and adores Khushi like his own little sister.He had always thought his brother in law and her will end up together.But fate had different plans.It nearly breaks his heart everytime to see Khushi in this state.He came back to present when Anjali shook him and waited for his reply expectantly.
"Anju even I had wished for the same " he confessed and continued " And ya if that had happened Khushi would have been a Raizada bahu and blissfully married to Arnav by now.But god had different plans.It was never meant to be and everything is anyway over" he sighed regretfully.
Anjali thought for a minute and said quietly " Everything isn't over yet Shyam "
Shyam frowned "What are you saying Anju? "
Anjali sat up straighter " Shyam I still think Chotte and Khushi are meant for each other.Maybe that's why Khushi is alone now and Chotte too isn't commited to anyone.God may have played a cruel game in Khushi's life but I think he meant it for chotte and Khushi to be together in the end "
Shyam looked at her as if she lost her mind " Anju come on I think you are thinking too much here"
She shook her head "No listen, Chotte and Khushi share an amazing bond.They still have a chance to be together in life.They understand each other better than anyone else and Its like they are a missing part of one another. Shyam they make each other complete.They may have got separated and chosen there own paths over the years but I really think God has given them a second chance now"
"Anju I understand what you are saying. And we could have even done something but now Khushi is a widow and carrying a baby--------" He started only to be interrupted by Anjali "So what Shyam? Khushi is still an angel and her bond with Chotte is still as strong.They will be perfect together and can make each other really happy."
Shyam thought that for a minute and said "Anju you have a point but problem is they both consider themselves as just best friends.They do love each other but not romantically.If they had, we wouldn't be having this conversation of what ifs right now "
Anjali shrugged and a mischievous glint entered her eyes "Ya they are just dumb and blind not to realize what they share is precious and once in a lifetime bond..I should have done something last time itself but never mind I still have a chance to make them see the obvious" she said smiling brightly.
Shyam understood that look pretty well and shook his head "No Rani Sahiba you are not going to play cupid here.What if it back fires? " he said looking worried although that dint stop his hopes rising.
Anjali pouted. Giving him a 'don't ' underestimate ' me ' look, she said " Shyam you remember how Khushi used to help us when we were dating in college? Chotte has always been a over protective brother and it was Khushi to whom I confessed my love for you first.She was the one who gently broke it to Arnav and made him see the fact that am capable enough to decide about my future "
Shyam smiled at the memory of meeting the young Arnav for the first time.It was Khushi who convinced Arnav that Shyam is good enough for his beloved di and that he should meet him once and then decide.He will always be grateful for Khushi for giving the love of his life to him.He loved her like a little sister since then.He also remembered how when he and Anjali fought during the time they dated, it was Khushi who played cupid and made them see sense.He took a deep breath, Anjali is right.It is now their turn to give the two most lovable person in his life a chance at happiness.
He smiled and cupped her cheek "Ok Rani sahiba you are right.Lets make them realize there is more to their relationship than mere friendship.But my question is how do we propose to do that? "
Anjali beamed at him and winked "Oh you leave that to me. I know precisely what to do " With that she hugged him happy that she got her husband's support and approval to carry on with her new mission.

The next afternoon , Arnav parked his car outside 'Delicious treats ' shop in JJ Nagar.One of Khushi and Buaji's branches.When he came inside he saw Khushi sitting in the cash counter with a hand on her cheek and deep in thought.
He greeted her cheerfully hiding his concern "Hey Lazy bones.What brings you here to this branch today? And why do you look so forlorn ? Everything ok? "
Khushi looked at him and smiled.Trust Arnav to worry about petty things she thought fondly.He had called her earlier casually and she had mentioned coming to the JJ Nagar branch.Now here he is and from the look of it he would have come to the conclusion that something must have gone wrong in her already messed up life.She thought with a self depreciating smile.
"Arnav before you shoot your questions, Let me tell you there is nothing to worry about.I was just thinking about this shop " She said smiling and handing over his favourite badam drink from the freezer.
He breathed a sigh of relief "Oh ok ! But you looked as if one of your multi-million dollar ship sunk in sea" he said chuckling annoying her.
She rolled her eyes and spoke up "Arnav am actually worried about the future of this shop.This is the only branch which isn't doing well.See how empty it is.I have been here whole day and there was only one customer who bought a fresh baked bread " she said ruefully.
As she spoke, Arnav looked around noticing the shop for the first time.He had only been to the Shop in their area. He had to admit this one was comparatively not that appealing.The interior walls look shabby and dull. There was not proper space management and the whole bakery looked cramped and sort of shabby.
He noticed there was a modern caf day directly opposite the bakery and its was pretty crowded with students from nearby college.He looked at Khushi and commented " Khushi I think this place needs some renovation. You have a big enough place but we need to utilize it properly.I suggest you to change the interior first.We can take Rosh's help she is afterall a successful interior designer.Since there is a caf day just opposite which offers attractive menu and a chill out place with plenty of chairs and space, ppl will naturally prefer to go there.We need to change this and make it more modern and you can make some changes on the menu to compete with the other outlets like this "
Khushi nodded considering his idea.Even though this bakery dint do well the other branches are quite profitable and they don't really have a problem financially.Khushi estimated that she can afford a renovation and smiled "Thanks Arnav I think you are right.I will talk to Buaji tonite about this and get started on renovation soon "
Arnav smiled "Great ! I will send some people to help you with the work.I will join you later after work "
Khushi shook her head at that " No its ok you already have lot of work to do.I will manage and like you said I will take Rosh's help "
Arnav glared "Khushi I said I will come after work and help " He then stood up carrying Ok now come its already 7 i don't think you are going to get any customers now.Lets go home "
Khushi sighed and nodded realizing he is right and besides she felt tired.They locked up the bakery and left.
